Flora kissed Malfoy good luck on the cheek during breakfast.

Today there was going to be a match against Gryffindor, and it was also a Friday, so it was a very big deal who would win. Obviously, Elwia wanted Slytherin to win but she also wouldn't be completely outraged if they didn't. Harry had told Elwia that if Gryffindor won, she would be invited to the afterparty.

It was the last class of the day, which was defence against the dark arts. Elwia was tapping her foot against the floor anxiously. As much as Elwia loved her Gryffindor friends, she really did not want to lose. Today would be her first real quidditch match at Hogwarts. But luckily, no one would blame her if they lost; instead, they would blame the seeker, Malfoy.

Lupin was teaching the class about banshees, but Elwia wasn't really listening. She already knew about banshees since she had read about them during her free time.

"Ms. Delacour, how do you defend yourself against banshees? Say you could have any weapon you want; what would you use?" Lupin asked, grabbing Elwia's attention.

"Um, I would use a laughing potion, sir." Elwia quickly answered.

"Yes, good, 5 points to Slytherin." Lupin smiled and began explaining in detail why a laughing potion was the best defence.

The class was now ending, so Elwia stood up from her seat.

"When is the game starting?" Astoria asked while putting her books in her bag.

"In two hours, but Bletchley wants us to come an hour early so we can practise." Elwia sighed while stretching her hands.

"Oh, that's awful." Astoria mumbled and patted Elwia's back.

"You'll win for us, won't you? Make at least ten goals." Pansy winked her eye at Elwia.

"I will try, we just have to hope that Malfoy catches the snitch before Harry does. And no offence to Malfoy, but I highly doubt that will happen." Elwia answered with a laugh.

Just as Elwia was about to leave the classroom, Professor Lupin called her name. This had formed into a tradition by now.

"Yes?" Elwia asked.

"I just wanted to wish you good luck on the match today. I've heard you're a great chaser. And also goodbye, the next time we see each other will be on Christmas. You won't see me teaching here anymore." Lupin said, apologetically.

"What do you mean you won't be teaching here anymore?" Elwia asked, confused.

"The Order needs me now, more than ever. And also, Snape has been desiring this position his whole life, so I thought it would be nice to give it to him." Lupin answered with a smirk.

"Snape is going to be our new teacher? Oh, I doubt Harry's going to like that." Elwia laughed a little.

"Yes, Harry wasn't too pleased when I told him. I also want to apologise for making you feel confused and scared about your true identity. I promise you will find out sooner than you think." Lupin apologised.

"It's okay, I think. It did really affect me, though." Elwia mumbled, rubbing her neck.

"I'm sorry. See you on Christmas, Elwia." Lupin smiled.

"And I'm sorry for occasionally raising my voice at you. You were my favourite teacher." Elwia said with a laugh and left the classroom.

Astoria and Pansy were waiting for Elwia outside, leaning against the stone wall.

"What did he want?" Pansy asked, blowing a bubble with her gum.

"He wished me good luck on the game, and also, Snape will be our next teacher since Lupin is going to leave." Elwia answered and started walking.
