Sirius and Uncle Moony had now been gone for two days, so it was just Elwia and Kreacher in the house. Although Elwia did hear an angry woman screaming from time to time, and when she had asked Kreacher about it, he told her it was his Mistress Walburga's painting. Walburga wasn't pleased that Sirius was living here with Remus, his husband, and that there were blood traitors and 'mudbloods' visiting their noble house.

Elwia and Kreacher were walking together in the hallways. He was showing her different rooms and telling her stories about them.

"Who's room is that?" Elwia pointed her finger at an old-looking door that had the initials R.A.B. on it.

"That one belonged to Master Regulus. So good to me he was, indeed." Kreacher muttered.

"Can I open the door, Kreacher?" Elwia asked carefully and put her fingers on the handle.

"Mistress Elwia mustn't ask Kreacher for permission. Nobles don't ask lowly elves that." Kreacher shook his head.

"You're not a lowly elf." Elwia said as she opened the door.

The room was a total mess. It looked like Regulus had left in a hurry or something, because there were papers and basically everything laying on the ground.

"What happened here?" Elwia asked Kreacher and picked up a few of the papers in her hand.

"Master Regulus had to leave. Master Regulus gave Kreacher a task, but Kreacher failed." Kreacher answered with a small stutter.

"What task?" The girl questioned as she noticed a photograph of a cave on the wall.

"Kreacher swore not to tell, can't say, can't tell..." Kreacher started mumbling, sounding almost panicked.

Elwia took the cave photograph from the wall and looked at it. It was a moving photo; waves were crashing, and the entrance of the cave looked eerie. Elwia turned the photo around, and on the other side, it read 'The Cave: November 1979'.

"Really helpful." She muttered and glanced at Kreacher, who looked anxious and terrified. He was muttering something under his breath, but Elwia couldn't make out what.

"What's wrong?" Elwia asked and hid the photograph in her back pocket.

"Horcruxes." Kreacher mumbled.

"What?"

"Master Regulus... The Dark Lord... Horcruxes," he muttered a bit louder.

"Horcruxes?" Elwia repeated, confused. She had never heard of that word. What did it mean?

"Master Regulus ordered for me to destroy The Dark Lord's locket." Kreacher said, speaking clearly again.

Elwia looked at Kreacher, and the elf looked at her.

"Show me the locket."

Kreacher turned around and walked out of the room. Elwia followed him closely, not wanting to lose sight of the elf. They came across a small cabinet, and Kreacher stopped. The cabinet was too small for a grown person; was it Kreacher's room?

"Wait here." Kreacher ordered and closed the door after he walked inside it.

Elwia could hear things being tossed around, and Kreacher muttering something under his breath. She had no idea what was going on, but Kreacher had mentioned something about Voldemort, so Elwia figured she should find out what this locket was.

The door opened, and Elwia saw Kreacher holding a locket in his hands by the its long chain.

"What is that locket?" Elwia asked and took the locket in her hands.

"The locket belonged to the Dark Lord, and his soul lives inside it. Master Regulus stole it with Kreacher from the cave but Kreacher couldn't save Master Regulus from the nasty water creatures." Kreacher answered, sounding like he was close to crying.

"I'm sorry, Kreacher." Elwia mumbled and looked at the locket more closely.

She could feel the locket's strong presence. It was definitely dark magic, even darker magic than the cursed necklace. But what did Kreacher mean by Voldemort's soul living there? The locket was whispering something and it was making Elwia feel uneasy.

"Regulus wanted you to destroy this?" Elwia confirmed, and Kreacher answered with a nod.

"No normal spell could destroy it, you need something stronger." Kreacher mumbled.

"Hmm, thank you for telling me, Kreacher. I'll keep it safe. Why don't you go make some french onion soup for you and me, okay?" Elwia smiled as she put the locket around her neck.

Kreacher sighed in relief and nodded his head before he apparated to the kitchen.

Elwia's face turned more serious as she was now alone once again. She had to find out what a horcrux was, and she knew exactly where to start looking. The girl marched back to Regulus' room and started reading through the papers on the floor. It seemed like they were ripped-up pages from his diary or something.

"Barty and Evan are joining too."

"I hate Sirius."

"Mother and father are backing away."

"Potter and I talked today. He said we couldn't associate with each other anymore."

"Panda is worried about me."

Who were Barty, Evan, and Panda? And had Regulus been friends with Elwia's dad?

Actually, none of those things mattered right now. The only thing that mattered was finding information about horcruxes.

Elwia had been reading through the papers for 20 minutes, and the only thing she saw were the names Barty, Evan, Panda, James, and Sirius repeating all over again. She was starting to lose hope until she noticed a paper filled with text in the corner of the room. Elwia shuffled closer to it and grabbed the paper in her hands.

October 25th, 1979

Voldemort wanted Kreacher with him to the cave so he could test the safety enchantments. He doesn't know that Kreacher will tell me everything. I can't let Voldemort win.

At first, it was just a foolish blood supremacy thing; I didn't think he was being that serious about killing all mudbloods. Even my parents stepped out of it when they learned about his true craving for power.

Two months ago, he killed the Prewett twins in front of us. Voldemort used crucio for hours before killing them. I can still hear them yelling for their mother and someone named Molly.

I have made an exact copy of the locket that he keeps in the cave, and in a few weeks, I will go to the cave with Kreacher and replace it. I will destroy the horcrux, so maybe one day Voldemort will be mortal once more.

The girl's mouth was full open, and her heart was beating.

Elwia Potter had to finish what Regulus Black had started.

A/N: none of these dates are canon except for the fact that regulus died in 1979, they are just something I made up since I don't think anyone writes only 1979 in their diary lol and also prewett twins died in 1981 but idc
