Beneath the verdant earth's embrace,
A chasm yawned, a hellish place.
As type three's reality took hold,
A cosmic veil was swiftly rolled.
The ground convulsed, split asunder,
As we gazed on in awe and wonder.
A fiery maw opened its jaws,
Inviting us to break nature's laws.
Down we tumbled, no choice to make,
Into the pit for civilization's sake.
Hellfire licked at our mortal frames,
As we bore witness to cosmic games.
Realms unfurled beyond space and time,
Geometries frantic, colors sublime.
Senses shattered by the sheer conceit
Of forces our minds could not unseat.
Hopeless we flailed in that endless night,
Drowning in rivers of cauterized light.
Then a voice resounding, ancient and true,
"The path's unveiled, the choice is for you."
Thrown back from that sulphuric deep,
The chasm resealed in a blinding leap.
Were we still dreaming on Terra's sod,
Or had we witnessed the face of God?
