Everyday Irony

In our grand plans, we find delight,
Yet life insists on its own slight.
We dream of order, neat and true,
And chaos laughs, "I'm here for you!"

A diet strict with goals so grand,
"Healthy living" is our stand.
But fate has snacks, a tempting ploy—
The ice cream calls with stealthy joy.

We plan a trip with maps and guides,
To find calm seas and smooth tide rides.
Yet storms arise with gleeful grin,
As waves and winds conspire to spin.

Our meetings prompt a polished pitch,
With every detail planned, no hitch.
Yet clients come with whims askew,
And all our notes are tossed askew.

In irony's embrace we see,
The jest of life's own grand decree.
For every plan that's neatly set,
Life's twists remind us—don't forget!
