Cosmic Cycle

The universe exhales, explodes in fire,
Matter and energy in primal dance.
In this cosmic wheel, this ring of desire,
My spirit is bound to take another chance.

As galaxies bloom and stars ignite,
I feel the pull of a life once lived.
Memories whisper, faces bright,
Experiences now to be received.

I tread familiar paths once more,
Each breath, a wisp of déjà vu.
Captured in this eternal tour,
No choice but repeat what I once knew.

Yet in each revolving replay,
Might a ripple stir the cosmic stream?
A different stance, a new word to say,
Altering the pattern, realized dream?

Or is the cycle's grip too tight to break,
Fated to relive elations and mistakes?
Embracing the known, yet hoping to wake
From this unyielding cosmic reprise.

Whether trapped or blessed, I cannot tell,
Retracing my story, reliving this spell.
The universe resounds in its rhythmic swell,
And I, a refrain in its immortal knell.
