Chapter 44

With the promise of rekindling forgotten memories and reclaiming a piece of his past, Raven and the others found themselves standing on a private island, outside a house that felt like a well-known, significant location in Raven's life.

Pakiramdam niya ang daming nangyari sa bahay na iyon at malaki ang naging epekto nito sa buhay niya.

"I missed this place!" Dashwin said, smiling beside him.

"True to life!" Kei chimed in.

"Nurse, gising na po siya. Kung anu-ano naman ang nakikita sa tiktok." Cameron sighed.

The six of them were back in the private island said to be the place they went to for vacation before. The reason for the vacation, however, wasn't disclosed to Raven.
Sabay silang pumasok sa bahay at namangha si Raven sa loob. Talagang ramdam mo ang beach vibes ng bahay dahil sa coastal-themed nitong interior design.

"Damn! I'm getting deja vu." Kei exclaimed with excitement as his eyes roamed around the place.

Naramdaman naman ni Raven na may humawak sa likod niya. Pag tingin niya si Hunt iyon.

"You good? Hindi ka na nasusuka sa byahe?"

Raven was slightly taken aback.
Hunt knew he has motion sickness?

"Hindi naman na. Medyo lang."

Nagbalat si Hunt ng strawberry flavored candy at ibinigay sa kanya. "You didn't complain the whole way here, I assumed you weren't feeling nauseous."

After taking the candy, Raven's mind was instantly filled with an image of him taking the same candy from another person. Sa loob ng ilang linggong pagsasama nilang anim, hindi na bago sa kanya ang bigla-bigla malang may maalala.

But still, parang puzzles lang ang mga ito na hindi niya mabuo.

Raven popped the candy onto his mouth and thanked the man. "You...you really seem to know me well." He said in a low voice.

Hunt just shrugged, "Just enough."

Sasagot pa sana siya pero nag salita si Axel.

"Do we get the same rooms?" Axel asked, but stopped when he realized something. Bumaling ito kay Raven. "How about you, Raven? You and the team leader used to share the same room with a bunk bed. You wanna stay or change?"

Raven blinked twice. "We did?" Hindi niya napigilang itanong.

Everyone nodded at him except Hunt, who was just waiting for his response. Isang bagay nanaman na ikinagulat niya.

Just how close were they to stay in the same room?!

"Uhm, I..." he hesitated. Hindi niya alam kung ano ang nais niyang sabihin.

Despite Hunt's calm and collected demeanor, Raven always found himself feeling rattled in his presence, as if something about him was off-putting. But what would happen if they were in close proximity, like being in the same room?

Baka hindi niya kayananin...?

Ang alin?

Ewan niya. He doesn't know anymore.

Napansin ni Hunt ang pagiging hindi komportable niya sa tanong at pag-aalinlangan kaya nagsalita ito, "Let's change rooms. Give Raven the room with the biggest bed. Axel and Kei, you guys share the bunk bed."

Sabi ni Hunt at talagang masamang tiningnan siya ni Kei. "Hunter, ayaw ko! Hindi nagpapatulog 'yang si Axel, eh!"

Every looked at him questioningly.

"He plays his metal soundtrack whenever he goes to sleep! Come on, si Dashwin nalang ipasama sa kanya."

Mabilis umiling si Dashwin, "No. I'm a light sleeper."
