Hi there! My name is Ash Ketchum, and a lot has happened. It's been four years since my friends and I met Kukui, Burnet, and Risa, and boy, do I have stories to tell. Just so you know, I'm still 10, Clemont is 10, Mallow is 10, Bonnie is 5, and Serena is 11. We live on the planet Earth, and the ruler of Gaia (Earth) is King Giovanni. A lot has changed on the news over the past four years, including new members of the Elite Four and the Lords.

In a shocking twist, former Elite member Maxie turned out to be a spy, prompting a replacement. Now, the Elite Four features two new members: Country Destroyer Cynthia and Dragon Master Lance. Not to mention, Leon was defeated by a 9-year-old electric-type specialist named Volkner! This historic event shifted the nation—until then, the youngest Elite was a seasoned 36-year-old. Moreover, the former head of the Battle Frontier, Brandon, took over Maxie's position!

The Kingdom of Gaia is split into nine regions, each governed by its own Lord. In brief, here's the breakdown:

Region 1: King Giovanni Oak, the royal castle's location and capital.Region 2: Archie Neptune, conqueror of the earth's seas and tamer of the legendary Pokémon Kyogre.Region 3: Normal Maple, a supremely strong Pokémon trainer leading the Maple Clan.Region 4: Wulfric Cryosphere, the Frosted Golem ruling the Cryosphere Clan.Region 5: Dragon Master Clair, a powerful trainer and cousin to Elite Four Lance.Region 6: Lysandre, who climbed the ranks from nothing to become a formidable Lord.Region 7: Lusamine, founder of the Aether Foundation and discoverer of the ultra wormholes.Region 8: Formerly ruled by the retired Lord Mustard, it's now in the hands of Chairman Rose.Region 9: Steven Stone, reigning over Fort Stone, the world's largest prison.

For the past four years, Burnet and Kukui have been wonderful mentors, teaching us about this new world and its history. But honestly? I think it's time for us to move on.

Burnet: Are you sure about this!?

Ash: Yes, it's time we move on.

Burnet: B-but!! -tears welling up-

Risa: Mom, we mentioned this two years ago!!

Burnet: Yes, but I didn't know it would hurt this much!

Kukui: -puts a hand on Burnet's shoulder- Come on, it's time for the bird to leave the cage.

Everyone: So generic...

Kukui: I've been working on that!!

Kukui: Anyway, Ash, when you get to Region 8, someone will be there to pick you up.

Ash: Okay. -nods-

(Let me explain. Kukui asked his friend Leon, a former Elite Four member, to get in touch with the former Lord Mustard. I'm hoping Mustard knows the secrets of Aura or whatever these strange powers of mine are.)

Risa: Don't forget about me! -winks-

(Risa aspires to be a Pokémon Ranger, so she's heading to Region 3 for school.)

Clemont: I'm going to be an amazing scientist, just wait, Ash!!

Bonnie: I can't believe I'm going to be stuck with this idiot... -sighs-

Clemont: Bonnie, don't say that! I'm your brother!

Bonnie: -sighs- This is going to be a nightmare...

(Clemont is staying in Region 7 to earn his official scientist certificate, and Bonnie is staying with him because they're family.)

Mallow: I can't wait to check out the food in Region 2!!
