3rd person pov:

The drive home from the medical facility felt like an eternity. The weight of the bandages around his eye was a constant reminder of the chaotic events of the day. As Russia pulled into his driveway, a wave of exhaustion washed over him. It had only been a day, but he missed his cats terribly.

When he opened the door, his three kittens rushed to greet him, their tiny meows filling the silent house. He bent down, picking them up one by one, feeling their soft fur against his skin. A pang of sadness hit him hard.

"I should never have stepped into China and America's fight," he muttered under his breath.

Carrying the kittens with him to the bathroom, Russia felt the weight of the day pressing down on him. Setting them down gently, he took a deep breath and faced the mirror. His hands trembled slightly as he began to unwrap the dressing around his eye, each layer revealing more of the damage.

Russia's pov:

When the last piece of bandage fell away, I stared at my reflection, my breath catching in my throat. A scar now marred my right eye, a jagged reminder of the brutal confrontation. Worse still, the eye itself had changed color, from its familiar dark blue to a haunting shade of gray.

Shock and disbelief washed over me. The sight was jarring, a stark contrast to the person I had always known. I leaned closer to the mirror, unable to tear my eyes away from the scar and the altered color. It felt as though I was looking at a stranger.

'What have I done? How could this happen? I didn't mean for it to go this far.'

A flood of emotions hit me all at once—regret, anger, and a deep sense of self-loathing. I quickly wrapped the new bandage around my eye, desperate to hide the evidence of my failure. The disgust I felt toward myself was overwhelming, each glance in the mirror intensifying the feeling.

'I can't stand to look at myself. How can I face anyone like this?'

I left the bathroom, my heart heavy with sorrow and shame. The weight of the day's events pressed down on me, making each step back to my room felt like a monumental effort.

As I walked down the hallway, memories of the day's events flooded my mind. America's angry words, China's ferocious defense, and the moment everything went horribly wrong. I replayed it over and over, wishing I could turn back time and change my actions.

Back to 3rd person pov:

Russia collapsed onto his bed, burying his face in the pillow. The tears came hard and fast, the emotional toll of the day catching up with him. He cried loudly, the sound echoing in the quiet room. His kittens, sensing his distress, climbed onto the bed and nestled against him.

Their presence was a small comfort. Slowly, his loud sobs turned into softer ones. He reached out, pulling them close and covering them all with a warm blanket. The feeling of their tiny bodies against his provided a sense of security, and he held them tight.

"You don't judge me. You just want to be with me," he whispered to his cats, his voice barely audible.

As he lay there, exhausted from crying, his eyes began to droop. The kittens' soft purring lulled him into a sense of peace. Despite the sadness and regret, he drifted off to sleep, finding solace in their company.
