3rd person pov:
The first rays of dawn filtered softly through the thin curtains, casting a gentle glow across the room where TR and Russia lay entangled in each other's arms. The serene moment felt like a fragile illusion of peace in the midst of their turbulent reality. Russia stirred first, his pale face nestled against TR’s chest, his breathing labored but steady. He blinked slowly, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep.
TR watched him wake, a rare tenderness in his eyes. He stroked Russia’s hair gently, a fleeting smile gracing his lips. “Good morning,” Russia murmured, his voice weak and hoarse.
“Good morning,” TR replied, his voice a soft whisper, laced with unspoken worry.
For a brief moment, the world outside their sanctuary ceased to exist, leaving only the two of them wrapped in a cocoon of fragile intimacy. Russia shifted closer, savoring the warmth and safety he found in TR's embrace. The room was quiet, a deceptive calm before the storm neither of them anticipated.
Suddenly, the tranquility shattered as chaotic noises erupted from outside. The sound of frantic footsteps and panicked shouts pierced the morning air, jolting TR into alertness. He tensed, his protective instincts kicking in instantly. He gently disentangled himself from Russia, his demeanor shifting from gentle to urgent.
“Stay here,” TR ordered, his voice sharp and commanding.
Russia’s eyes widened in confusion and concern. “What’s happening?”
“I’ll find out,” TR replied, his tone softer but firm, before quickly leaving the room, closing the door behind him.
Stepping into the corridor, TR was immediately bombarded by a flurry of panicked voices. He grabbed a passing soldier by the arm, his grip tight and unyielding. “What’s going on?” he demanded.
The soldier, pale and trembling, stammered, “It’s the Soviets... They’ve found us. They’re on their way.”
"How much time do we have? " TR asked and got a response quickly by the man "Tomorrow in the morning, sir. "
A cold chill ran down TR’s spine. His heart pounded in his chest as a mixture of fear, anger, and desperation swirled within him. His thoughts raced, and the darkness he had kept at bay for so long began to resurface, threatening to consume him.
He clenched his fists, his mind a battlefield of conflicting emotions. He couldn’t let them take Russia away from him. Not after everything they had been through. The familiar darkness enveloped his thoughts, and he felt his grip on sanity slipping.
TR’s eyes darkened as he turned back to the room where Russia waited. His footsteps were heavy, each step echoing the turmoil within him. He opened the door to find Russia sitting up, confusion and worry etched across his face.
“TR? What’s happening?” Russia asked, his voice trembling.
TR didn’t answer immediately. He stared at Russia, his dark self fully taking over. "I need to ensure they can’t take you from me,” he finally said, his voice cold and determined.
Without another word, TR moved swiftly, grabbing ropes from a nearby drawer. Russia’s eyes widened in fear as TR approached him, the ropes in hand.
“TR, please, don’t do this,” Russia pleaded, his voice breaking.
