3rd person pov:
The house was quiet, save for the occasional ticking of the clock on the wall. Russia had been alone for most of the day, and while he usually found peace in the solitude, today was different. The dull ache in his lower abdomen had been growing steadily since morning, and now, as the afternoon sun dipped lower in the sky, the pain had intensified to an almost unbearable level.
Russia winced as another wave of pain washed over him, causing him to clutch his swollen belly. He took a few deep breaths, trying to calm himself, but it was no use. The baby was coming, and he could feel it. Panic began to set in as he realized he was alone in the house, with China at the countries' building, far from him.
Fumbling with his phone, Russia quickly dialed China’s number, his hands trembling as he pressed the call button. The phone rang for what felt like an eternity, each ring amplifying his anxiety. Finally, after what seemed like ages, China answered.
“Russia?” China’s voice came through the line, filled with concern. “What’s wrong?”
“China…” Russia’s voice was strained, his breathing labored. “I think… I think the baby is coming.”
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line, as if China was processing the gravity of the situation. Then, his voice returned, now tinged with urgency. “Hold on, Russia. I’m coming. I’ll be there as soon as I can.”
But as China glanced at the time, he knew it would take too long for him to reach Russia from where he was. He needed help, and he needed it now. Without hesitation, he quickly dialed North Korea’s number, his heart racing as he waited for his friend to pick up.
North Korea wasn’t at work that day, and when he answered the phone, China wasted no time explaining the situation. “North, Russia’s in labor. I need you to get to him and take him to the hospital. He’s in pain, and I can’t get there fast enough.”
North Korea’s voice was immediately serious. “I’m on it,” he replied, already moving. “I’ll get him to the hospital. Don’t worry.”
China breathed a sigh of relief, but only slightly. “Thank you, North. I owe you one.”
With that, China hung up and bolted out of his office, his mind solely focused on getting to Russia. But as he hurried down the hall, a figure stepped out in front of him, blocking his path.
America.
China’s eyes narrowed as he came to a halt. “Get out of my way, America,” he growled, his patience already thin.
America didn’t budge, his expression hard. “I can’t let you go, China,” he said firmly, his voice low. “I know about you and Russia. You’re not going anywhere.”
China’s heart pounded in his chest, anger and desperation mingling in his veins. “I don’t have time for this,” he snapped, his voice laced with venom. “Move.”
When America refused to step aside, something inside China snapped. The urgency of the situation, combined with the frustration of being kept from Russia, pushed him over the edge. Without a second thought, China transformed into his full dragon form, his body elongating and expanding as golden scales shimmered in the light. His eyes burned with fiery determination, and his claws extended, ready to strike.
