The day had finally arrived—the day that China and Russia would join their lives together in a bond of love and commitment. After months of planning and anticipation, the wedding was set to take place in a traditional Chinese ceremony, an idea that China had suggested and Russia had eagerly agreed to.
The wedding venue was set in a serene temple nestled amidst rolling hills and tranquil gardens. Red and gold lanterns adorned the pathway, casting a warm and inviting glow over the scene. The colors of prosperity and happiness permeated the atmosphere, filling the hearts of all present with a sense of joyous anticipation.
Inside the temple, the air was thick with the scent of incense, mingling with the fragrance of fresh flowers that decorated the altar. The setting sun bathed the space in a soft, golden light, creating a serene and almost ethereal ambiance.
Russia stood in one of the private chambers, surrounded by some of his siblings—Belarus, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan—along with a few close allies like Vietnam, and North Korea. As he gazed at his reflection in the ornate mirror, he couldn’t help but feel a mixture of excitement and nervousness. The traditional Chinese wedding attire he wore was unlike anything he had ever worn before, and he found himself unsure if it would meet China’s expectations.
Russia’s attire was a stunning red and gold qipao, a traditional Chinese dress that clung to his slender frame, emphasizing his already delicate and feminine features. The intricate embroidery of dragons and phoenixes symbolized the harmony of the couple, and the flowing silk fabric shimmered as it caught the light. His long hair, usually left to cascade down his shoulders, was styled elegantly with ornate hairpins and a delicate veil that added an air of mystery and grace to his appearance.
Despite his usual confidence, Russia felt a pang of insecurity. “Do you think this is okay?” he asked, turning to his siblings with a worried expression. “What if it’s not perfect for China?”
Belarus, who had been fussing over the final adjustments to Russia’s outfit, smiled reassuringly. “You look beautiful, Russ. China will be speechless when he sees you.”
Ukraine nodded in agreement, his eyes soft with affection for his brother. “You have nothing to worry about. This is your day, and I’m sure China will be just as nervous as you are.”
Kazakhstan, who had been unusually protective of Russia throughout the entire wedding process, couldn’t help but chuckle. “You look perfect, Russia. If China doesn’t agree, I’ll have a few words with him.”
The lighthearted comment eased some of Russia’s nerves, and he managed a small smile. “Thank you… all of you. I just want everything to be perfect.”
North Korea, who had been observing the scene with a mischievous glint in his eye, chimed in. “Trust me, Russia. China won’t be able to keep his eyes off you. Now, let’s get you ready to meet him.”
As the final preparations were made, Taiwan—China’s brother—entered the room, dressed in a traditional Chinese robe that mirrored the elegance of the occasion. “Everything is ready,” he said with a gentle smile. “China is waiting for you at the altar.”
Russia took a deep breath, trying to steady the fluttering in his chest. His siblings and friends offered him words of encouragement as they guided him towards the entrance of the temple, where the ceremony would take place.
