The journey to Canada’s homeland had been a whirlwind of excitement and energy. After a long drive and a day full of travel, the group finally arrived at the camp. The sun was setting, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, casting a warm glow over the picturesque landscape.
Canada, ever the gracious host, welcomed everyone to the cabin. “Welcome, everyone! I hope you’ll find the cabin comfortable for our stay here.”
The cabin, a large and charming wooden structure, was indeed inviting. Its rustic appeal was enhanced by the surrounding natural beauty, with towering trees and a serene atmosphere. Canada led them inside to show them where they would be staying.
Each room in the cabin was designed to accommodate the group, but due to the size of the beds, they would need to share. The sleeping arrangements were as follows: Ukraine and Belarus, Germany and Japan, Britain and France, China and Australia, Taiwan and Canada, America and Russia.
As the group settled in, tensions were already palpable. China, who had been somewhat annoyed throughout the journey, was particularly displeased with the sleeping arrangements. He and Australia were to share a room, while America and Russia would be together.
China’s displeasure was evident when he learned that America was sharing a room with Russia. “I can’t believe America’s with Russia,” he muttered to Australia. “This is going to be a problem.”
Australia, trying to remain neutral, simply shrugged. “It’s only for some days. Let’s try to make the best of it.”
As evening approached, the group gathered in the cabin’s common area for a meal. Roasted vegetables and grilled meats filled the air with a delicious aroma. Laughter and conversation flowed freely as everyone enjoyed the food and each other’s company.
After dinner, everyone headed to their assigned rooms to prepare for bed. America, full of energy, quickly made himself comfortable on the large bed in his and Russia’s room. He sprawled out, leaving barely any space for Russia.
Russia, feeling a mix of anxiety and discomfort, sighed as he entered the room. The bed, though large, felt cramped with America’s sprawled form taking up most of it. Trying to ignore the situation, Russia headed to the bathroom to tend to his needs.
He changed his bandages carefully, wincing slightly as he adjusted the wrap around his injured eye. The reflection in the mirror showed the scar clearly now—a permanent reminder of the recent incident. With a heavy heart, he took a deep breath and stretched his wings, feeling a pang of sadness at their current state.
Returning to the bedroom, he found America still lounging on the bed, oblivious to Russia’s discomfort. Russia quietly slipped into his side of the bed, trying to make himself as comfortable as possible despite the limited space.
America, having noticed Russia’s unease, let out a casual chuckle. “You know, this bed’s pretty big. I’m sure we’ll manage.”
Russia said nothing, simply turning off the bedside lamp, putting his Ushanka and settling into his side of the bed. He tried to focus on the peaceful sounds of the forest outside rather than the awkward proximity to America.
As the night wore on, Russia’s discomfort grew. The bed felt cramped, and America’s occasional shifting made it hard for him to find a comfortable position. Despite his best efforts, he found it difficult to sleep.
Suddenly, Russia felt two pairs of strong arms pull him closer. At first, he was startled and panicked, not knowing what to do. His heart raced as he tried to adjust to the unexpected closeness. However, he soon realized that the arms belonged to America, who was holding him tightly.
