~~~Y/N POV~~~

We were all in the middle of the mall by the fountain talking about everything we know.

"The mind flayer, it built this monster in Hawkins, to stop El, to kill her and pave a way into our world" Mike explained

"And it almost did, that was just one tiny piece of it" Nancy added

"How big is this thing?" Hopper questioned

" it's big... thirty feet at least" Jonathan answered

"Yeah it sort of destroyed your cabin" Lucas said as hopper just looked at him and nodded.

"Ok just to be clear, this this big fleshy spider that hurt el it's some sort of gigantic weapon?" Steve questioned

"Yes" Nancy responded quickly

"But like instead of, like screws and metal, the mind flayer made its weapon... with melted people" Steve said

"Yes, exactly" Nancy said

"Yeah okay, I'm just making sure" Steve said

"Are we sure this thing is still out there still, alive?" Joyce questioned

" El beat the shit out of it, but, yeah, it's still alive" max explained

"But if we close the gate again-" Will started

"We cut the brain off the body" I cut in as he looked at me.

"And kill it" Lucas finished " theoretically"

We all then stood in silence as we began to think-

"Yoo-hoo!" We heard from behind us causing us to snap our heads back to see the bald
Man. "Yoo-hoo" he shouted waving papers in the air.

"Okay, this is what Alexei called 'the hub' now the hub takes us to the vault room" Mr bald man said

"Okay where's the gate?" Hopper questioned

"Right here, I don't know the scale on this, but i think it's fairly close to the vault room." Mr. Bald man said.

"Maybe fifty feet or so" he added as I rolled my eyes at him.

"More like 500" Erica butted in

" your going to risk our safety on a maybe when you have never been down there? Sure you had some Russian-"

"Alexei" he but in as I gave him a seriously look.

"What does that matter?" I asked before looking at Erica for her to go on.

"Yea your going to waltz in there like it's commie Disneyland or something" She said

"I'm sorry who are you two" he asked

"Erica Sinclair and y/n Mayfield over there. Who are you?" She asked

"Maury bauman" he said

"Listen, Mr. Bunman, I'm not telling you how to do things, but I've been down in that shithole for twenty four hours, and all do respect, you do what this man tells you your all gonna die" She said.

"I'm sorry why is this four year old speaking to me" He asked looking at Jim for an answer.

"Um, I'm ten you bald bastard" Erica said as all of us looked at the two of them in shock and amusement.

"Erica!" Lucas yelled

"Just the facts!" She yelled back

"She's right" Me and Dustin said looking at each other before back to everyone.
