WARNING ⚠️: Mentioned $a
Reds POV
I ran and ran and ran as my cousin kept calling out my name to stop, but I kept running until I saw the castle again.
I went into the castle and then went to each room to find Craig's mother well as a stepmother since yeah..and then I found her in the living room just holding her glass of wine while looking at the fireplace... weird.
I proceeded to walk towards her until..
Mother: "Hello red, it's nice to see you joining me in here."
I stopped. I then cleared my throat to get ready to tell her and confront her about it
Red: "Mrs Tucker. I want to tell you something.."
Mother: "Well..what is it then.."
Red: "The war. You were starting it. Why, though? They have done nothing to you -"
Mother: "they have done more than that. They deserve it."
I was quiet for a second until I spoke again
Red: "Okay... maybe is there a reason why? Any enemies..or reasons or past."
3rd POV
Her eyes then were sharp when Red mentioned the past. She did not want to talk about it or even mention the word.
Mother: "There is nothing."
Red: "Then why would you do such a thing to them. If they did nothing to you."
Mother: "Well, red, there are things they did to me, but I'm not telling you."
Red: "Please tell me. I promise I'll keep it a secret."
Mother: "No, red, I'm not telling you.
She said as she kept looking at the fireplace, not facing or turning to red at all.
Red: "Please, Mrs Tucker. I'll keep it a secret. You can trust me. I will help you."
Those words hit Maria.'You can trust me. I will help you.' She remembered those words by her father when she was young.
Flashback
She was 7, and when she lost her toy rabbit in a pond. She ran home crying to her mom as her mom comforted her
Then, when she was alone in her room on her bed holding her knees to her chest while sniffling, she heard a door creak. She saw her father open the door. It was a surprise to see her father coming to her instead of her.
Her father then shut the door behind him and locked it, and he went to her on the side of the bed and sat next to her
7yr Maria: "Why are you here, Father?"
Father: "Well, to comfort my favorite child, of course."
7yr Maria: "I'm your favorite?"
Father: "Of course you are."
7yr Maria: "Well, that doesn't make me feel better only a little bit."
Father: "What? I thought that would help you feel better."
Maria: "What? So I'm not your favorite child?"
Father: "No, no, you are sweetheart, I'm gonna help you."
Maria: "Help me? But how are you gonna help me feel better? Can I even trust you?"
He then gets on the bed and hovers over Maria as she looks up at him, confused while there are tears in her eyes still.
Father: "You can trust me. I will help you."
