Two Worlds Collide

Chapter 25

In the morning, Isabella got in a short run before everyone woke up. She took a short shower once she got back and then started on breakfast. Everyone wanted generally the same thing, so she got started on that. Once it was almost done cooking, she started on Kelsey's smoothie bowl. She started plating the food, and just as she was done the blender stopped. She emptied the smoothie into a bowl and put all of Kelsey's favorite toppings on it. She took out all of the plates on one arm and held Kelsey's bowl in her other hand. She placed them on the table in front of everyone and then began their coffees. Alana tried to get Isabella to sit and eat with them, but Isabella wanted to get their coffees made. Missy just wanted an oat milk latte, Zeeko wanted a flat white, Alana also wanted an oat milk latte, Kelsey wanted a coffee with a little bit of honey, and Isabella did her usual honey, cinnamon, and vanilla iced coffee. They all thanked her after she sat down their coffee. "So do you go on a run everyday?" Zeeko asked.

"Not everyday, but I do try to run as much as possible. On the days where I do sprints as part of my workout I don't run. Those are awful. Kelsey's done them with me once before." Isabella said.

"Never again." Kelsey said with a chuckle.

"I'm assuming those are for when you have to do a foot pursuit?" Missy asked.

"Yeah. There's a certain time we have to sprint in that portion of the fitness exam. Thankfully I've gotten to the point where I'm just a little faster than that time." Isabella said.

"Well that's good. Did you have to get tased and pepper sprayed?" Zeeko asked.

"Yeah I just did both on Monday. Unfortunately I was a little sick, so everything felt a little extra painful. I found out the hard way when I took a shower after class that I didn't get all of the pepper spray out." Isabella said.

"I feel like I'd rather be tased than pepper sprayed." Missy said.

"Oh 1,000%." Isabella said. They talked about random topics as they ate before they got ready to go do some more fun activities. On their way to the strip for their first stop, Isabella started having road rage. The previous day she held in what she usually would say. But now that she's gotten to know Alana, Missy, and Zeeko, she felt it was okay to let it out. They all were getting a kick out of it. "People here don't know how to drive, but I'd still rather drive here than in Columbus." Isabella said.

"It is pretty bad there," Kelsey said. "You should've seen her when I visited her for her birthday. Actually, I think I still have the video." Kelsey said with a smile. Isabella gave a Kelsey a glare with a slight smile. Kelsey pulled up the video and showed them.

"Well you and Alana sure do have that in common." Missy said with a laugh.

"It's really crazy just how much you two look alike. Like, if you were as old as Alana when she played in CSI: Miami, you could've filled in as Marisol if she were to get sick, and I don't think people would notice." Zeeko said.

"I mean she is about the age I was when I played in that. How old are you?" Alana asked.

"I'm 26 going to be 27 this year." Isabella answered.

"Wow I feel old." Alana said with a chuckle.

"No you're not. I'm being completely honest, you look like you're still in your 30's." Isabella said.

"I agree." Kelsey said.

"Well I appreciate that." Alana said. They arrived to the strip, so they all got out and walked around. After going to a few sights, they decide to eat at a food truck.

"Think we could play some basketball?" Zeeko asked.

"You know I'm down!" Kelsey said.

"Me too!" Missy said.
