Two Worlds Collide

Chapter 30

Isabella and Kelsey decided to get engagement pictures done while they were in Paris because they didn't know exactly when the next time they were going to see each other. The photographer was able to expedite the editing process and get the pictures emailed to them the day they were leaving. They took the pictures at the Château De Versailles; some pictures taken outside while the sun was starting to set, and some inside. After the edits that were made, the pictures looked as if they belonged on the cover of a magazine. They were perfect, and Isabella and Kelsey couldn't wait to show everyone. On the plane, they discussed a couple wedding details just to get started a little bit. "We could do a Fall wedding." Isabella suggested.

"That would be pretty. But both Vegas and LA aren't as pretty as the East coast during Fall." Kelsey said.

"I'm so sorry for eavesdropping, but you could do a Fall destination wedding and have a wedding in a state on the East coast." the person next to Isabella said.

"You know, that's not a bad idea." Kelsey said.

"I know I may not like Columbus, but the Cincinnati area has really beautiful Falls. We could try there first. If we don't find anything, we could try Vermont." Isabella suggested. Kelsey was on board with it, so they started looking. After looking through some places, they find the perfect place called the Canopy Creek Farm in Miamisburg, which is just outside of Dayton. Isabella sent them an email, and they start planning on a date or at least a month of when they want to get married. They came to a conclusion of late October since the WNBA season will be wrapped up by then.

As they were about to fall asleep, the venue emailed Isabella back asking when they would be able to call for a consultation, and Isabella replied saying the next day since they were on a plane, and the work day is almost over for the people at the venue.

When they land back in Vegas, they get their bags and drive back to Isabella's house. Though Kelsey was tired, she had to drive back to LA so she can pack and get a little sleep before the team head to San Francisco for their game against the Valkyries. "Please drive safe and let me know when you get home." Isabella said.

"I will." Kelsey said. She gave Isabella a kiss and said she loved her before she left. After Kelsey left, Isabella filmed another part of a video she was recording for Kelsey in case anything were to happen to her in the field. When she was done, she transferred it to the hard drive she kept in a little pocket on her duty belt. She put the hard drive back in her belt and decided to take a cat nap before she had to go into work.

When Isabella woke up, she had just enough time to get ready. She was rushing around, but she managed to get everything she needed and packed her lunch. When she got to the station, she went to the women's locker room and changed into her uniform. She then did a low slicked back bun and then went and got her taser  and gun from her safe. After that she went to role call. "Is that what I think it is?" Devin, one of her fellow classmates, asked.

"It is." Isabella said with a big smile.

"Aw well congratulations!" he said.

"Thanks! So what did I miss?" Isabella asked.

"Not a whole lot. But you are getting a new TO because Brandi has become a K9 officer." he said.

"What? Why didn't she tell me she was even thinking about being a K9 officer?" Isabella asked.

"I don't know. But hopefully you don't get Asher. I heard he's an ass, especially towards females." Devin said. Role call started, and Isabella ended up being placed with Kylie. Kylie was quiet, and she didn't talk much. But when she did, it was only to tell Isabella what she was doing wrong. She didn't tell her how to fix anything. She only told her to figure it out on her own.
