Two Worlds Collide

Chapter 27

~April~

It was time for Kelsey to make her move to Los Angeles. Isabella had been extra clingy to Kelsey, but Kelsey didn't mind. She soaked up the time she had left with Isabella before she is in a different city. "At least it's only four hours instead of across the country." Isabella said, trying to be optimistic. Whether she was trying to convince herself or Kelsey more, she didn't know.

"Yeah that's true." Kelsey said. They were leaving at three in the morning even though it's only nearly four hours away because of traffic. They decided to call it a night and get some sleep before they leave in the early morning. Kelsey held Isabella closer as they fell asleep. They were only able to get a few hours of sleep before they both woke up. "Babe?" Kelsey said softly.

"Yeah?" Isabella replied.

"Can you promise me one thing?" Kelsey asked.

"Of course."

"Can you promise me that you'll be safe? Especially when you're officially an officer?" Kelsey asked.

"I promise." Isabella said. They laid in silence as they were cuddled up for an hour before they decided to make breakfast together. As they ate, they talked about when they would be able to see each other since Kelsey has an official schedule of when practices, training, and games will be. Isabella was hired in to her department for night shift working Sunday-Thursday, so it was going to be difficult to make some of Kelsey's games. But, she did know she would be able to make games on the weekends if overtime wasn't needed. If Kelsey didn't have a game, then they planned to either meet somewhere in the middle and spend the day together or drive to either house and spend the weekend with each other. It just would depend on their schedules and if extra practices are called or if overtime is mandated. They even decided to move their Paris trip up to May instead of August just due to Kelsey's schedule.

Isabella and Kelsey loaded the rest of Kelsey's stuff before they hit the road. Kelsey's mom was driving Kelsey's car as Kelsey's dad was driving her moms car, and Kelsey was driving Isabella's. As they were driving, Isabella decided to post a bunch of pictures since she hasn't posted in months due to wanting to be present and not on her phone. She did, however, make sure she took as much pictures as possible to capture as many moments as she could.

Been a while

Comments and likes started rolling in. A lot of the WNBA players took a notice to her promise ring. Marina Mabrey was first to comment on it saying,

Is that🧐🧐🧐 umm so a little life update maybe?

Cameron Brink replied to Marina with,

This! I thought I was the only one who noticed😂

Caitlin, she didn't even comment on the post. She liked it, and then a few seconds later she was FaceTiming Isabella. "I swear y'all are so invested in our relationship." Isabella said with a laugh. Caitlin laughed along with her.

"It's the sisterhood in the WNBA. We're all invested in everyone's relationship. Let me see the ring!" Caitlin said excitedly.

"Well I'm about to burst your bubble because it's just a promise ring. But here it is." Isabella said. She turned the screen brightness up and held up her hand to show Caitlin the ring.

"It's so pretty! Well I'm glad that we didn't miss a whole chapter of your guys' relationship." Caitlin said which caused Kelsey and Isabella to chuckle.

"Marina is calling me. I gotta go." Isabella said.

"Okay byyye." Caitlin sang. Isabella chuckled and hung up and answered Marina's FaceTime.
