~May 3~
Its the day Isabella graduates from the police academy, and she couldn't be more excited. It was a bittersweet moment for her, but she was ready to officially be an officer. She had to show up in full uniform, so she put it on, slicked her hair back into a low bun, grabbed the hat that is for formal events like graduation, grabbed her phone, keys, and wallet, and then walked out the door. She drove to where the ceremony was being held and went to where the recruits were meeting. "The academy really flew by." Chad said.
"It really did. It feels like yesterday that we started." Isabella said.
"No for real though. Are you guys nervous about being out patrolling the streets for real?" Marcus asked.
"I know I am. I've been confident in the academy, but actually being in the field, it's so much different. I mean you never know what's going to happen." Giselle said.
"Imma be honest, I'd be worried if someone wasn't nervous." Cory said. They all agreed. The Sergeant ordered them to line up. They did, and created two lines. Isabella was in the front row, so she was close to the back of the line since they filed in back to front. The bagpipe band lead them in to the performing arts center, and they stood on stage until they were instructed to sit. A couple speakers spoke before awards were handed out. Isabella was awarded with being top of the class and also with the 'top cop' award, which is basically the top performer in almost every aspect of the academy. After awards, a video was played that captured moments from the beginning to the end of the academy. Isabella was in it a few times; the first time was during the time they each were individually tased (she was one of four they showed), the second time during arrest tactics, and the last when they were going through an agility course. She also was somewhat shown when they were lined up for uniform inspections.
After the video, the class president spoke, and then it was time for the pinning of the badge. When Isabella's name was called, there was loud cheering from who Isabella could only guess as being almost the entire cast of FBI and some of Isabella's friends. Isabella walked up and paused as she grabbed the badge so she and the one presenting it could take a picture. Then she walked over to Kelsey and Alana as they were the ones she chose to pin her badge. She handed it to Kelsey, and Kelsey pinned it on. Alana straightened it a little bit before she gave Isabella a hug. Kelsey gave Isabella a hug as well before Isabella went back to her seat on stage. After the awards, the recruits held up their right hand and took their oath. After the oath, they processed out into the lobby of the performing arts center and waited for their friends and family. Isabella spotted Kelsey first, who ran up to her and picked her up and spun her around. "I'm so proud of you!" Kelsey said. She gave Isabella a quick kiss before everyone else showed up. Isabella took pictures with her friends, Kelsey and her parents, Alana and her family, and the FBI cast. They spent about 20 minutes taking pictures since a lot of them wanted pictures with her individually as well.
"So when is your first day?" A'ja asked.
"I start tomorrow night." Isabella answered.
"Welllll the team and I have something for you. I know you're not one of our rookies, but you're still a rook. So we wanted to give this to you to wear everyday for your first year." A'ja said and handed Isabella a pink Paw Patrol book bag. Isabella and Kelsey chuckled. Kelsey took a picture of Isabella with her new bag and then one of her and A'ja where A'ja is presenting it to her. Kelsey explained to Alana and the FBI cast the story behind the bag. Isabella thanked A'ja, Jackie, and Meg for the bag.
"Wait don't you have your softball game tomorrow night?" Missy asked.
"I do. But Kyra already knows that if it goes past 10, then I will have to leave." Isabella said.
