Chapter 30:
The Beauty of Slumber

As evening descended, the chamber was bathed in a soft, warm glow from the setting sun. Draupadi, having been well-fed and cared for by the Pandavas, began to feel drowsy. The day's events had taken their toll, and she longed for the comfort of sleep.

She lay down, feeling the softness of the cushions beneath her, and as she did, she reached out for Sahadeva's hand. Sahadeva, always gentle and caring, took her hand in his, his touch soothing her as she drifted off to sleep.

**Draupadi**: (sleepily) "Stay with me, Sahadeva... I feel safe when you’re close."

**Sahadeva**: (softly) "I’m here, Draupadi. Rest now. We’re all here with you."

As Draupadi’s breathing slowed and deepened, the Pandavas gathered around, watching her with a mixture of awe and tenderness. The soft rise and fall of her chest, the peaceful expression on her face, and the way her hand gently held onto Sahadeva's—all of it captivated them.

**Yudhishthira**: (whispering) "She looks so serene... Her beauty is unparalleled, even in sleep."

**Bhima**: (in a low voice) "She’s a warrior in every sense, yet when she sleeps like this, she seems so delicate, like a flower."

**Arjuna**: (gazing at her) "I’ve seen her in battle, fierce and unstoppable. But here, she’s the very essence of grace."

**Nakula**: (admiring her) "Her beauty isn’t just in her appearance, but in her spirit. Even in sleep, you can see her strength and kindness."

**Sahadeva**: (still holding her hand) "She’s always thinking of others, always caring for us. It’s our turn to watch over her."

The Pandavas continued to whisper among themselves, their voices soft and filled with admiration for Draupadi. They couldn’t help but marvel at how someone so strong and fierce could also embody such gentleness and beauty.

**Yudhishthira**: "We are truly fortunate to have her as our wife. She brings out the best in each of us."

**Bhima**: "And we must always remember to protect and cherish her, just as she does for us."

**Arjuna**: "She’s not just our queen; she’s the heart that binds us together."

**Nakula**: "And even in moments like this, when she’s resting, her presence is a comfort to us all."

**Sahadeva**: (smiling softly as he looked at Draupadi) "I’ll stay by her side until she wakes. It’s the least I can do for all she’s given us."

The Pandavas fell silent after that, each of them lost in their thoughts, content to simply watch over Draupadi as she slept. The room was filled with a peaceful stillness, the only sound the soft breathing of their beloved wife.

As the night deepened, the Pandavas knew that their bond with Draupadi was something sacred, something they would protect with all their might. And as they watched her sleep, they were reminded once more of the depth of their love for her—a love that would endure through all challenges, just as she had taught them.
