Chapter 88:
UnburdeningInside the opulent confines of her chamber, Draupadi entered with a determined stride. The room was adorned with rich decor, but her focus was solely on relieving herself of the heavy burden she had carried throughout the day. With a sigh of relief, she began to remove her jewelry, each piece clattering to the ground in a cascade of precious metals and gems.
"What a heavy jewelry queen life," she remarked, her voice a mix of exhaustion and amusement as she flung the last of the adornments aside. She then gracefully laid herself on the bed, still clad in her lehenga, her body finally free from the weight of her royal finery.
Behind her, the Pandavas had followed, their curiosity piqued by the dramatic display. They watched with barely contained laughter as Draupadi discarded her vast array of jewelry, tossing it aside with the nonchalance of someone shedding a trivial burden.
"Look at her," whispered Bhima to the others, a grin spreading across his face. “It’s like she’s tossing away pebbles instead of priceless jewels.”
Arjuna, trying to stifle his chuckle, added, “I’ve never seen someone handle such wealth so casually. It’s as if the jewelry is nothing more than a trinket.”
Sahadeva leaned closer to Nakula and whispered, “She makes it look so effortless. Imagine having to wear all this all the time.”
Nakula, trying to keep his composure, shook his head and smiled. “She really does carry the burden of royalty with such grace.”
As Draupadi settled into the bed, clearly enjoying the freedom from her royal attire, the Pandavas couldn’t help but be amused by the scene. Their playful whispers and shared glances spoke of a deep affection and admiration for their queen, whose ability to blend the grandeur of her role with moments of candid humor made her even more endearing.
