Teasing Draupadi
As the journey continued, the Pandavas were in high spirits, their teasing far from over. Yudhishthira, with his usual calm demeanor, decided to start a playful conversation with Draupadi. "Draupadi," he began, "tell us honestly, do you wish to become pregnant again?"
Draupadi, slightly flustered, narrowed her eyes at him. "What are you up to, Yudhishthira?"
Arjuna chimed in with a grin. "Come on, Draupadi. Would you give us more children? Perhaps a few more warriors or queens for our kingdom?"
Bhima, not one to be left out, leaned closer and teased, "How about we make a deal? You solve our riddles, and if you lose, you give us your answer directly. Sound fair?"
Draupadi was caught off guard. "Riddles? You’re tricking me, aren’t you?" she asked, suspicious but still amused.
Nakula smiled mischievously and leaned in closer. "No tricks, dear Draupadi. Just a simple question—do you want more children with us?"
Draupadi, feeling cornered but still playful, blurted out without thinking, "Yes, now come quiet!"
The moment the words left her mouth, she realized what she had said. Her eyes widened, and she quickly slapped her hand over her mouth, as if trying to take the words back.
The Pandavas burst into laughter, their teasing victorious. "Ah, so it’s settled!" Sahadeva declared with a grin. "You’ve confessed, Draupadi!"
Draupadi, still blushing furiously, couldn’t help but smile despite herself. She lowered her hand and sighed, knowing she had walked right into their playful trap. "You five will never change, will you?" she muttered, trying to compose herself.
Yudhishthira chuckled softly. "Why would we? It’s part of our charm."
Arjuna winked at her. "And part of yours too, Draupadi."
Draupadi shook her head, still blushing but feeling the warmth of their love. No matter how much they teased, she knew that they cherished her deeply, and that was all that mattered.
