Chapter 155: Draupadi’s Gentle Lullaby
Draupadi's story was nearing its end when she felt a gentle tug on her saree. Looking down, she saw Prativindhya and Suthanu holding the hem of her saree, their eyes heavy with sleep. The younger ones followed suit, their tiny hands grasping her saree, signaling that they were ready for bed.
With a soft smile, Draupadi bent down, gathering the little ones into her arms. "Alright, my darlings," she said softly, "it's time for sleep." Her voice was like a lullaby itself, soothing and warm, as she led them toward their beds.
The Pandavas watched from the doorway, smiling at the scene before them. Even after a long day filled with responsibilities, Draupadi still had the patience and love to care for their children so tenderly.
As the children lay in their beds, Draupadi began to hum a lullaby. The room filled with the gentle melody of her voice, wrapping the children in a blanket of comfort. One by one, they drifted off to sleep, their faces peaceful and content.
The Pandavas, still watching from the shadows, exchanged quiet words of admiration.
"She’s incredible," Nakula whispered. "After everything, she still has this energy."
Sahadeva nodded, "She’s more than a queen. She’s a mother, a protector, a guide."
Bheema, always one to speak his mind, grinned, "And we should count ourselves lucky. She handles everything with such grace, even us."
Arjuna chuckled softly. "Yes, even us."
Yudhishthira watched Draupadi with a look of deep affection. "We are truly blessed," he said quietly. "She brings balance to everything—our kingdom, our family, our hearts."
As Draupadi finished her lullaby and gently kissed each child’s forehead, she turned to see the Pandavas standing there, love and admiration in their eyes. She smiled at them, her gaze filled with warmth, and silently beckoned them to join her.
They approached quietly, careful not to wake the sleeping children, and together they embraced her. Surrounded by their love, Draupadi felt complete, knowing that no matter the challenges they faced, they would always have each other.
"Let’s get some rest," Yudhishthira whispered, guiding Draupadi out of the nursery.
They left the room, the sounds of peaceful breathing filling the air, and closed the door behind them, ready to face whatever the next day might bring—together.
