Chapter 44:
Care and Comfort
The morning light filtered gently through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room. Draupadi, now fully dressed in a white saree adorned with intricate black patterns and sparkling ornaments, was still feeling the effects of the previous night. The saree was complemented by a beautiful blue lotus motif, adding to her regal appearance.
Despite her elegant attire, Draupadi struggled to walk due to the rough night’s activities. Seeing her discomfort, Sahadeva promptly stepped in. With a supportive and caring manner, he carefully picked her up and placed her gently onto the bed, ensuring she was comfortable.
Draupadi looked up at him with gratitude and said softly, “Thank you, Sahadeva. I appreciate your help.”
As Sahadeva made sure she was settled comfortably, the other four Pandavas—Yudhishthira, Bhima, Arjuna, and Nakula—began preparing a meal for her. They wanted to make sure she was well-nourished and taken care of.
Yudhishthira approached with a plate of food, offering it to her with a warm smile. “Please eat, Draupadi. You need to regain your strength.”
Bhima, helping to serve, added, “We’ve prepared your favorite dishes. I hope they bring you some comfort.”
Arjuna, assisting with the placement of food, said, “We’re here to make sure you’re well taken care of. Let us know if there’s anything you need.”
Nakula, placing a glass of water by her side, remarked, “It’s important for you to stay hydrated. Please take your time and enjoy the meal.”
Draupadi, touched by their attentiveness, nodded appreciatively. “Thank you all. Your care means a lot to me.”
As she began to eat, the Pandavas remained close by, engaging her in light conversation and ensuring she was comfortable. Their actions reflected their deep respect and affection for her, and the atmosphere in the room was one of mutual care and understanding.
The morning passed with a sense of calm and connection, as the Pandavas focused on supporting Draupadi in every way they could. Their attention to her needs highlighted the strength of their bond and their commitment to her well-being.
