Chapter 146: The Warrior's Fire
In Kampalyam, the atmosphere was one of relaxed celebration after the recent victories. The Pandavas, having witnessed the fierce prowess of Draupadi and Fatima Hatun in battle, were in a teasing mood, especially given the long period of time since their last major conflict.
Draupadi, now comfortably settled into her role, was engaging with the Pandavas in a light-hearted conversation. The five brothers, in their usual playful manner, decided to tease her about her enduring warrior spirit.
Yudhishthira, with a grin, started the teasing. “Draupadi, after all these years of pregnancy and motherhood, you haven’t forgotten your warrior skills. We still remember the fire and ferocity with which you fought.”
Bhima, chuckling, added, “Indeed! Your battle roars were so powerful, it’s as if you could still hear them echoing through the battlefield even now.”
Arjuna, with a mischievous twinkle in his eye, joined in. “And don’t think we’ve forgotten how you used to handle those enemies. Your skills have always been unmatched.”
Nakula and Sahadeva laughed, their voices full of camaraderie. “You’ve managed to balance being a fierce warrior with being a loving mother. That’s quite an achievement.”
Draupadi, blushing slightly but smiling, responded, “Well, you know, once a warrior, always a warrior. It’s not easy to forget the roar of battle and the thrill of defending what’s dear to you.”
She adjusted her posture, a playful glint in her eye as she continued, “But now, I have other battles to fight—like managing this many children and ensuring our kingdoms prosper. That’s a different kind of challenge.”
The Pandavas laughed heartily, appreciating Draupadi’s blend of humor and sincerity. They all knew that while her role had evolved, her spirit and strength remained as potent as ever.
Bhima, wrapping an arm around Draupadi’s shoulders, said warmly, “No matter the role you take on, whether as a warrior or a queen, you’ll always have our respect and admiration.”
As they continued their banter, the atmosphere in Kampalyam was filled with warmth and joy, the bonds between the Pandavas and Draupadi stronger than ever. The playful teasing was a testament to their deep friendship and the respect they held for each other’s strengths and roles in their lives.
