Chapter 140: Wisdom in the Court

The sun was high in the sky as the Pandavas gathered in the grand council chamber of Indraprastha. Despite their best efforts, ruling had proven to be more complex than any battle they had ever fought. Today, the kings from neighboring realms had also arrived, seeking guidance on matters of diplomacy, trade, and law. It was a day full of questions, and the answers weren’t always easy to find.

As the meeting progressed, **Yudhishthira** leaned back in his seat, his brows furrowed in concentration. The other kings looked to him for advice, but even the wise eldest Pandava found himself hesitating at times. It wasn’t long before he exchanged a glance with his brothers.

**Bhima**, always straightforward, muttered under his breath, “We should just ask Draupadi. She always knows what to do.”

**Arjuna** nodded in agreement, “True, she has a way of seeing things that we sometimes miss.”

When a particularly complicated issue arose—a dispute between two smaller kingdoms over a trade route—the Pandavas exchanged another glance. This time, it was **Nakula** who spoke up, turning to the assembled kings, “Perhaps we should consult the queen on this matter. Her wisdom is unparalleled.”

The kings, who had heard tales of Draupadi’s sharp intellect and fair judgment, nodded eagerly. They respected the Pandavas, but Draupadi had earned a reputation across the land for her ability to resolve even the most difficult of conflicts.

Moments later, Draupadi entered the chamber, her presence commanding attention. Despite being seven months pregnant, she moved with grace and authority. She took her seat beside Yudhishthira and listened as the matter was explained to her.

After a moment of contemplation, she spoke, her voice calm but firm. “The solution lies in compromise, not conflict. Both kingdoms should benefit from the trade route. Let them share control and profit equally. Peace is the foundation of prosperity.”

Her words were met with nods of agreement. The kings marveled at how easily she had found a fair resolution, one that had eluded them all. Even the Pandavas couldn’t help but smile, once again reminded of how invaluable Draupadi was to them, not just as their wife, but as their queen.

As the day went on, the Pandavas and the kings continued to consult Draupadi on various matters, and with each question, she provided wise and thoughtful answers. The Pandavas whispered among themselves, proud and grateful for her presence, knowing that with Draupadi by their side, they could rule their kingdoms with the strength and wisdom needed to bring peace and prosperity to all.

When the council meeting finally concluded, the kings left with their doubts resolved and their spirits lifted, all thanks to Draupadi's guidance. The Pandavas stayed behind, once again humbled by the brilliance of their queen.
