Chapter 143: A Wish Fulfilled
The palace was abuzz with the joyful sounds of children, filling every corner with laughter and play. The Pandavas stood with Draupadi in their private chambers, admiring the new additions to their growing family. Prativindhya, Suthanu, Sutsoma, Samyuthana, Shrutakarma, Pragya, Pragati, Sumithra, Printha, Satanika, and Shrutasena—each one a living testament to the love that bound them all.
As they watched the children play, Yudhishthira broke the silence with a teasing grin. "Draupadi, do you remember what you told us seven years ago? You said you wanted five or maybe even eleven children."
The others chuckled as they recalled the moment. Bhima, never one to miss an opportunity to tease, added with a smirk, "Well, we’ve fulfilled that wish of yours. Eleven beautiful children, just as you asked."
Draupadi’s cheeks flushed a deep shade of pink as she blushed at their teasing. She turned her head slightly, trying to hide her embarrassment, but her lips curled into a shy smile. "I-I didn’t… I mean…"
Arjuna, always quick to play along, leaned in with a playful grin. "What’s that, Draupadi? Did you not mean it? Or perhaps… you still have more wishes for us to fulfill?"
Nakula and Sahadeva couldn’t help but laugh softly at their brothers’ antics. Nakula, ever the gentle soul, placed a comforting hand on Draupadi’s shoulder. "Don’t worry, Draupadi. Whatever your wishes are, we will always be here to make them come true."
Sahadeva nodded in agreement, his voice soft but full of affection. "You’ve given us so much joy, Draupadi. It’s only right that we make sure all your dreams are fulfilled."
Draupadi, though still blushing, couldn’t help but laugh at their words. "I suppose I did say that… But who knew you five would take it so seriously?"
The Pandavas all shared a look, their expressions full of love and admiration for the woman who had made their lives so complete. Yudhishthira, always the voice of wisdom, spoke softly. "Draupadi, everything we’ve done, we’ve done out of love. You are our queen, our partner, and the mother of our children. Fulfilling your wishes is our greatest joy."
Draupadi’s heart swelled with emotion as she looked at each of her husbands. "And you are my strength, my protectors, and the fathers of my children. Together, we have built a family and a future. There is nothing more I could wish for."
As the evening sun cast a warm glow over the room, Draupadi and the Pandavas shared a moment of quiet reflection. Their journey had been long and filled with challenges, but through it all, their love had remained strong. And now, surrounded by their children and the peace of their home, they knew that they had truly fulfilled every wish they had ever made.
