"Can you believe he made Serenity the Princess of Wales? And the 4th in English history, no less!" Anne complained, rubbing her stomach and taking a bite of her apple. "That crown should've belonged to our daughter! Our Elizabeth! But why Serenity?"
"Believe me, Aunt Anne. We were as shocked as you when Uncle Henry acknowledged us as his children! Even after poisoning the court into thinking we were Brandon's!"
"He did it for pity, Scarlet. Nothing more." Émilie stated, letting Lady Wiltshire finish tying her hair into a tidy bun while Lady Shelton slid her shoes on. "Then again, you are now the England's 1st ever Duchess Of York, Scarlet. Not by marriage, but by blood."
Serenity scoffed, letting Lady Rochford fix her necklace. "Well, we'll see how long he lets us hold onto our titles before deciding to take my crown when Aunt Anne gives him his long-awaited son."
"Will be the same for me if it's twins. Then he gets his Prince Of Wales and Duke Of York, and boom! He secures his heir and spare and forgets all about us."
"I'm sure he won't, girls. You see how fond he is of you both, and how much he loves and dotes on you."
"You don't know that for sure, Aunt Anne. Maybe he'll change his attitude towards us once you give him his Prince Of Wales and then give him a Duke Of York or another Princess."
"I understand, but his love for you and your sister, Serenity, will never waver. You'll always be his precious Diamond, just as Scarlet will always be his beloved Jade." Anne smiled warmly at them before turning to Savanna, who appeared lost in thought. "Is everything alright, Anna?"
"Hmm? Oh, yes! Everything's fine, Aunt Anne."
"I know that's a lie, Anna," Émilie said, gently glancing at her daughter "I'm sure whatever you're thinking about can't be that bad."
"Well..."
Anne followed her gaze, and their eyes landed directly on the Lady standing across from them. She was looking down at something that was strapped to her neck. Anne raised a brow in confusion, wondering what about the Lady had attracted Savanna's attention.
"What about her, Anna? What about her sparks your interest so much?"
"I don't know honestly," Savanna answered, glaring at the Lady. "But where did Uncle say she was from exactly? Does she live here in England?"
