The grand walls of Paraquat Palace bustled with activity as Émilie and her Ladies prepared for the extraordinary event ahead. Today, on November 20th, at the ages of 38 and 39, she and Angella were about to welcome Anne into their loving marriage.
"Ah! Madam, you look so beautiful!"
"Hmm, thank you. Cece, I'm looking forward to today's festivities."
"As do we, dear Émilie," Mary stated, fixing the ruffles of Anne's dress. "So, after you finish, Anne will be getting ready next and then we head towards the church for the ceremony?"
"Yes, that's correct, Mary. Then Camille and Elizabeth will lead Melanie and the others down the aisle as the leading bridesmaids/flower girls and Carlos will be our ring bear."
"Perfect! I think we're all set."
"Should be, Mary."
"Let's just hope a certain someone doesn't decide to come in and crash the ceremony with the little miss 'Rose without a thorn.' he calls his Queen."
"They don't even know Anne is alive, so I doubt they'll have any logical reason to show up at the wedding."
"But knowing him, he'll always find a reason to invite himself to places he knows he isn't welcomed in."
"Well, we can only hope he stays away now that he has Lady Howard as his Wife."
