Chapter 70♡

(Paige's P.O.V)

Waking up, I looked at my phone. I was fourteen today. That was crazy! Cece, Bea and Izzy had texted me. Putting my hair up into a bun, I put on one of my favourite songs. Meghan Tranior was amazing. Looking at what I could wear today, I found some options. I liked jumpers, skirts and tights. Looking through my wardrobe, I found a really cute pair of denim shorts with a butterfly printed top. Taking that out, I heard a knock on my bedroom door. Opening it, it was Mom. 'Happy birthday Paigey.' As she kissed my forehead, I thanked her. 'Are you doing anything today?' I said that I was thinking about going to see my friends. 'Aw. That's cool. I have the day off work so I was thinking that we could do something special.' I smiled. 'That sounds cool. What did you have in mind?' Mom then said that she was going to take me shopping and take me for a hot chocolate. 

'That sounds like fun.' As we went downstairs, there were cards on the table with some cupcakes. Sitting down, Mom asked me what I would like to drink. 'Could I just have some orange juice please?'  I then read through the text messages from my friends..

Cece:

Happy birthday to my best friend! I am so glad that we met. You are such a good friend and I think that you're amazing. x

Bea:

Happy birthday Paige. I'll look forward to seeing you later. Thankyou for being a great friend to me. I love you lots. 

Ariel and Caleb then came downstairs. 'Happy birthday little sis!' Ariel hugged me and Caleb handed me a card. 'Would you two like some drinks?' Ariel then sat down at the table. 'Yes please. Mom.' Caleb then asked me what I was planning to do. 'Well, me and my friends were going to hang out and then Mom said that she wanted to take me shopping.' Ariel smiled. 'That sounds exciting.' Mom sat at the table with some toast. 'Are you okay Caleb?' He nodded. 'I feel alright. I'm going to look at some stuff for school. My friends are cool as well.' I could see him smiling. 'And?' Mom giggled. 'You're hiding something bro..' He said that he wasn't. Once breakfast was finished, I heard the front door. Heading into the hallway, I picked each one up. I was so lucky. Mom then helped me. 'Aw. You have lots. Shall we open them later?' I said yes. Heading upstairs, I went to get ready for a shower. 

Switching it on, I waited for the water to warm up. Jumping in, I showered. I was so excited for Mom and Dad to get married. I still loved my bridesmaid dress. I was also excited to get my hair and make up done. Washing my face, I noticed that a few spots were starting to appear on my face. Was that normal? Once I was finished, I dried myself off. Wrapping the towel around my body, I went into my bedroom. Putting on some music, I got ready. Finding an outfit, I decided to wear a cami coloured t shirt with some shorts. Once I got dressed, I found a hairbrush with some clips. Brushing it, I heard my phone. It was a text from Kian. WHAT?!

Happy birthday Paige. 

Once I had finished getting ready, Mom shouted me. "I'm coming!' Getting my bag, I put my phone in there. "Are you ready sweetheart?" I said yes. "See you soon sis. Have fun!" My siblings were sweet.

(Caleb's P.O.V)

Cleaning up the table with Ariel, I asked her how she was. It was good for me to check in with her. "I'm alright thankyou. I have therapy tomorrow. I'm deciding what options I wanna take at school. I'm thinking art and mentoring." I said that would be really good for her. "It would be sis. You've come so far in your own soberity journey." She thanked me. "You have. You're becoming more open." She said that she's been spending more time on herself too. "I take time to be outside more. Sometimes, I like to sit out in the garden as well. I've missed Dad too. It's hard when he's working away."
