Chapter 58♡

(Ariel's P.O.V)

I was sat at my desk. Mom had decided to get me one to help encourage me to study. Sitting with my notepad open,  I thought about the other subjects that I chosen to go for to study at school. Art was definitely up there on my list. That had helped me a lot. I was interested in designing as well. Being at art club had given me the chance to express myself in a healthy way. Mom being in my therapy session was good. We had spoken more about my nightmares too..

Flashback to the other day..

"Ariel.." Mom stood near the front door. "I know that you found talking about your nightmares frightening. You're getting there though." I felt really weird. Heading inside, I went upstairs. Sitting on my bed, I just took some deep breaths. I focused on just slowing down. Claire had said that when I panic, I can tend to think negatively.. which is true. I then shut everyone out. 'In... and out..' I kept saying that to myself. After I had calmed down, I went downstairs. My nightmares were always about him. Him locking the bedroom door. He would get all aroused and then he forced me to kiss him...

End of Flashback... 

'Hey Ariel.' Caleb was sat outside. 'Hey little bro. How are you?' Sitting beside him, he told me that he felt nervous. 'I'm nervous about seeing the new school.' I nodded. 'I do understand how you feel. I remember feeling nervous when I met mom and dad for the first time. I didn't trust people. I'm still working on that.' Caleb asked me if I thought that he was weird. 'Bro... why would you think that?' He said that he's in recovery from self destructive behaviour and that he suffers with anxiety. 'You're not weird at all. Why are you thinking like this?' He then continued to talk.. 'Because I am just not dealing with things in the way that I should.' I was worried about him. 'What I see is that your'e trying. Me and Paige are so proud of you.' He thanked me. 'Thanks for just being there for me.' As we hugged, I asked him if he wanted to tell me anything else. 'No sis, i'm good.' Giggling. we went inside to set up for dinner. 'Is everything okay with you two?' Mom looked at me. 'Yep.' I mouthed.. 'I need to talk to you..' She smiled. 'Ahh okay.' Paige then asked what we wanted to drink. 'I'll have some flavored water please.' Mom reassured Paige. 'Just eat what you want okay?'

Dad had cooked a nice steak with some vegetables. 'Before I go back to work tomorrow night, Cragen is coming over for dinner.' Caleb smiled. 'That'll be nice.' We heard a bleep. 'Sorry.' Dad looked at mom. 'So, how is school going Ari?' Dad seemed interested which was nice. 'I'm deciding what other subjects to take alongside English and Maths.' I started talking about Art which Dad loved. 'Well, Anna asked if I wanted to hang my sign in the school hall. And I'm hoping to start painting as well.'  We heard a bleep.. was that our baby brother's phone? Paige then giggled. 'Baby girl, tell me what you have been up to.' Dad started talking to her. 

'Are you okay buddy?' Dad asked Caleb. 'Yep.' We spoke more about the family vacation. 'We are thinking about going to  the Maldives.' Paige and me squealed. 'Eeek!' Once we had finished dinner, we went to talk to Mom in the living room as Dad and Caleb cleaned up. 'So... Paige told me something the other day.' Mom asked what it was. 'Caleb is getting to know Amber.' Mom gasped. 'Shhh..' Both of us giggled. 'I think it's sweet. As long as he's being responsible and kind. Does Amber know that you know Ariel?' I said no. 'I mean.. it's cute. And as long as both of them are okay, that's what matters.' Dad then called me. 'How are you feeling Paige?' I was certain that Mom would help her. 'I'll be back in a minute.' 

(Simon's P.O.V)

I had organised dinner and drinks for me and my gorgeous girl. Axel was getting there. We were bonding by watching our favorite shows and talking about the wedding. Nina had popped out to see Phoebe. I couldn't wait to meet little Harper. 'Dad?' Axel headed downstairs. 'Yes son?' He sat on the chair. 'Did you wanna watch another episode of Stranger Things?' I said yes. When I got some drinks, I asked him about Lexi. 'We are good friends. I think that she's nice. I would like to focus on working on my emotions though.' He admitted to me and Nina that he was finding hard to process the fact that Seth was the way he was. He was constantly thinking that he was going to turn out like him. 'Look Dad.. i'm sorry for shouting at you. I just can't seem to get my emotions under control.'

I hugged him. Told him that I loved him. 'All of us will help you. You're not alone.' He said that he knew that. As we watched the next episode, I just looked at him. I had known him since he was a few months old and now he was thirteen. It is crazy how much he has grown. Me and his mom were excited to get married. We were thinking about venues as well. She wanted somewhere pretty quiet. I wanted somewhere that was tranquil. I was just excited to marry her. She truly was a dream. I loved her and our son so much. I dreamed of having more kids with Nina. She was a fantastic mum. "Oh.. that's so cool! Did you see that?" I said yes. It was nice spending time with him. "How can you love blood?" Axel giggled. It was so nice seeing him be happy. Even if he was struggling. Both me and Nina wanted a big family. She had her brother in her life. I had Liv. "Ahhhh. That's so scary." Cuddling up to him, he smiled.

(Nina's P.O.V)

"Ahhh. She's so cute!" I had decided to pop over to see Phoebe and Finn after work for a bit. "She is cute." Asking her how she was doing, she said that she was getting better. "I'm trying to do more self care and get more sleep. Finn will keep an eye on her during the night. He then lets me get some more sleep. She's usually up at 8am and then she goes down again at 7pm once I've fed her." Nina said that was really good. "She sounds like she's in a great routine." Phoebe then asked me how work was going and I was. "Work is great. Helping others is something that I've wanted to do for a while. And it's rewarding." Harper then cried.. "Ahhh.. you pretty girl. Let me give you back to your mommy." She gurgled when I handed her over. "So, are you looking forward to Olivia and Elliot's wedding?' I said yes as she fed. "We get to be bridesmaids. It's going to be amazing." Pheebs agreed. "She's definitely making up for not feeding at the beginning." Giggling, I told her that was normal. "Axel was just so calm." Phoebe then asked me how things were with Simon. "What do you mean?" She raised her eyebrows.. "Oh! That.." I blushed. "Things on that side are great. He's so loving." Phoebe giggled as she burped Harper. "It's strange because after everything we've been through, he's just stayed right by my side." Pheobe then said that she could tell that I was happy. 'You are. We all adore Simon too.' I smiled. 'I think you and Finn are so sweet as well. You two are smashing it as a couple and as first time parents.' She then thanked me. 'You're too kind Nina.' 

As Harper settled, Phoebe yawned. 'She's made me feel shattered.'  Nina said that was normal. 'Sometimes, Axel used to make me feel like that as well.' 

Looking at the time, I got my shoes on. "It has been so nice to just sit with you and catch up." Kissing Harper on the forehead and then hugging Phoebe, she said the same. 'Thankyou.' I said that it was no problem. 'Call or text me if you need anything.' She said that she would. 

Making my way home, I put the radio on. I felt so calm. I had more ideas for our wedding so I couldn't wait to sit down with my handsome man to sort those out. It was also lovely that my brother was back in my life. I was going to ask him if he wanted to meet his nephew too. I think that Axel would love to meet his uncle. All I was doing was looking forward. I finally had peace in my life. I was happy.
