♫Back to back funerals, it's them or us, it's him or me
Don't get booked 'cause ain't no bond money
We doing this shit for free
If he told then that ain't my homie, that lil' nigga weak
If I miss, ain't going to sleep, I'm in the street, we play for keeps♫
"Armed & Dangerous" by King Von blasted through my bedroom speakers as I geared up for what I was about to do. Tonight was the night. Leo thought he could hide, thought he could pull off this weak move and get away with it. He had convinced everyone he dipped outta the city, but I knew better. He had been plotting this from the jump—ever since they announced the opening of Club Ecstasy. This was his get-back for his two cousins, Jalen and Tyler. But now, it was my turn. Leo had crossed a line, and for that, he had to pay.
I wasn't even sure if Zayvior was gonna pull through, but that didn't matter right now. All I knew was Leo had to go. No mask this time, though. I wanted him to see exactly who was taking his life. I finished getting ready, then headed to the basement to grab my guns. I checked everything twice, making sure I was ready for whatever. After that, I went to the garage, hopped on my bike, and tore out of there, heading straight for the address Uncle G had given me.
The night had settled in, and for the first time in a while, I didn't go visit Zayvior. Normally, I was by his side every day, but tonight was different. Tonight, I had something else to handle. I knew his friends were already side-eyeing me, and this? This would only make them more suspicious. But I didn't care. They'd figure it out soon enough.
About 30 minutes later, I pulled up to this grimy, abandoned warehouse. It was exactly where I expected Leo to be. I could hear voices inside—laughing and talking, like they didn't have a care in the world. I crept up closer and listened in on their conversation.
"Man, his ass in a coma right now," Leo laughed. "They should just pull the plug already."
"He didn't even try to duck," one of his boys chuckled. "Straight bow."
"That's what he gets for killing Jalen and Tyler," another one said.
Leo snickered. "Nah, he didn't kill Tyler, though. That's the thing."
"Wait, for real?" the guy sounded confused. "I thought he did it."
"Nah," Leo smirked. "Someone else did that. We just don't know who."
