CAR

Cause I know she love that Leon, 'cause my shit is super hard

And just the thought of you and on, it makes me super hard

I break it down, I grind it up, find me in the clouds

I always think about you when I'm climbing down

Can't remember my passwords

And I can't see anything past hers

I hate that I deleted our texts with our last words

You're the reason that I'm running backwards (damn)

Sunken Place by Leon Thomas was playing low on the speakers as I cruised down the street, making my way to my dad's house. He called earlier, saying he had a surprise waiting for me, so I was curious about what he had up his sleeve. Knowing him, it could be anything from a new car to some crazy news. Either way, I wasn't about to miss it.

After about 20 minutes, I pulled up to his place. It wasn't exactly a mansion, but it was close enough. A big-ass house, with more rooms than anyone really needed, but my dad always liked living large. The security dudes at the front door nodded at me, and I gave them a quick nod back before heading inside.

"Dad! I'm here! Where's the surprise?" I called out as I walked through the front door. The house was quiet, too quiet. I didn't get a response at first, but then I heard the front door creak open behind me.

Turning around, I saw Ja'zai and Soraya stepping in. Ja'zai looked just as confused as I felt, and Soraya was smiling, probably trying to figure out what was going on too.

"Oh hey, Soraya. Ja'zai," I greeted them, giving Soraya a quick hug.

"Dad called you too?" Ja'zai asked, his eyebrows raised.

"Yeah, he said something about a surprise, but I don't know what it is yet," I said, shrugging.

Before we could speculate further, the door opened again, and Ja'mir walked in, looking kind of nervous. He wasn't alone, though. He had a girl with him—brown skin, beautiful, with invisible locs framing her face. I hadn't seen her before, so I assumed this was his new girl.
