IT'S CURRENTLY 3 PM, and I'm battling with my laptop. I'm shopping online, but these annoying ads keep popping up, even after I installed an ad blocker. To make matters worse, it's adding unnecessary items to my cart, slowly driving me insane. I refreshed the page, and finally, it's behaving normally.

"You better behave before I dismantle you," I muttered, feeling increasingly frustrated.

Then my doorbell rang, leaving me confused about who it could be. I went to check the security cameras and saw my brothers outside. I let them in, eyeing them up and down.

"What are y'all doing here?" I asked, feeling annoyed because I needed to start getting ready for my date soon, and I couldn't afford to be late, even though I usually ended up being late anyway.

"Damn, can't we visit our baby sister anymore?" Ja'zai said.

I squinted at them and continued with what I was doing.

"So, what have you been up to these days?" Ja'mir asked.

"Um, nothing really, just hanging out with my friends," I replied, making them exchange glances.

"Yeah, we indeed saw that," Ja'zai said, looking at me up and down with disgust.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I questioned.

"Because you were acting wild in the club," Ja'mir said, making me roll my eyes.

"How was I acting wild in the club?" I asked, tilting my head.

"Mmcht, just don't be doing that. You know you need to lay low, especially now that it's all over social media," Ja'mir said, making me sigh.

"My face is barely in the video, so..." I trailed off, making them kiss their teeth in annoyance.

"Oh, I get it now. Y'all came to lecture me about it," I said, laughing.

"Yeah, and we want food," Ja'zai said, making me groan.

"Don't y'all have girlfriends to do that for you?" I asked, making them laugh.

"Maybe, but we want your food now," Ja'mir said, making me groan even harder.

"Fine, what do y'all want?" I asked, making them ponder.

"Alfredo chicken pasta," Ja'mir said.

"No, chicken salad," Ja'zai countered, and then they argued, making me sigh.

"You know what? I'll make a chicken salad, since it's still early in the day," I said, making Ja'mir kiss his teeth in annoyance.

I began preparing the chicken salad by seasoning chicken breasts with a blend of salt, pepper, garlic powder, dried oregano, paprika, and a pinch of cayenne pepper for an extra kick. As the flavors melded, I heated olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, cooking the chicken until it achieved a golden-brown hue and was fully cooked.
