"Where the fuck is Jalen?" I shouted as we arrived at his traphouse. The sight of the place, chaotic with men and women milling about, only fueled my anger. Jalen had crossed the line, beating my girl when she had nothing to do with his mess. He had me fucked up.

"Check upstairs!" Ace yelled over the din.

Tray and I sprinted up the stairs, the sounds of a man and woman talking growing louder. It sounded like they were kissing. I couldn't stand it anymore. I burst through the door, rage boiling over. There was Jalen, with Jessica—my fucking ex.

Tray didn't hesitate. He shot Jalen in the kneecap, and Jalen crumpled to the ground, screaming in pain. I locked the door behind us. Jalen was first. Then I'd deal with Jessica.

"You beating on girls now?" I snarled, punching him hard in the face.

"She didn't give me the information I wanted, so I had to," he said, smirking through the pain.

I punched him again, and again, and again until his face was barely recognizable.

"You bitch-ass nigga! You knew she had nothing to do with this shit. Why'd you involve my girl?" I shouted, shooting him in the shoulder.

"She's not who you think she is," he muttered, his voice weak.

"Fuck you mean?" I demanded.

"What I said. It ain't my place to tell, but shorty deserved that shit. On my cousin's grave," he said, smiling even in his agony.

I shot him multiple times, his lifeless body slumping to the floor. The rage still bubbled inside me, and now it was Jessica's turn. I turned to face her. She looked terrified.

"Z-Zay, please s-stop," she stammered, tears streaming down her face.

"Why shouldn't I? You broke my trust, spread lies, and now you're fucking my opp. Give me one reason why I shouldn't kill you right now," I said, my voice cold.

"Because you loved me," she whispered.

I laughed, a harsh, bitter sound. "That was the past. All that's left now is hate. I fucking hate you."

"Z-Zay, you're going to regret this. Jade is not the one for you, and yes, I'm jealous she's getting more than I did when we were together. I'm going to ruin it, and I already have," she said, a smirk forming on her lips.

"What do you mean?" I asked, my voice low and dangerous.

"Look on Instagram, boo," she taunted.

Tray showed me the picture she had posted, tagging Jade. My blood ran cold. Jessica had really done it.

"You did not just do that," I said, my voice trembling with rage.

"I did, Zay. I did what needed to be done. You cannot tr—" I cut her off with a bullet to her skull. Her lifeless body crumpled to the ground.
