**** Emma's P.O.V****

I can't believe I heard that man coming. I could just hear a spell being formed and I darted taking Derek with me.

When I turned around after the gust of rocks and dirt and grass flying at us formed a hole in the middle of the part. No one was there to see it thank god. A man, about thirty stood in there looking at me. Shit

" Glad to see you're still alive, Emma, Derek." How did he know Derek?

" Sure thing." I let go of Derek's hand, I was a little late on running. I was to focused on being sure to run. And I regretted it. I walked over to get a clear view at the man, tall, brown hair, and he was wearing a jacket, a thin one.

" Now if you would just mind you're own business and leave me alone as you promised after I totally kicked you're ass." I smirked. Trying to remind him of me nearly killing him a couple months ago. I remember it because I learned I had swords in my inventory. Every witch had a place she could put things to make other things, only witchcraft or supernatural related ingredients sadly. And I saw some swords in there I used on him. I didn't know I had some skills with a sword considering the fact I never held one until that day.

He chuckled, " I'm sorry to disappoint you but I couldn't. I simply had to see you once more. I can't stop thinking about you since that horrible loss of mine." Thinking about you. What are you trying to pull?

" Sorry to burst your bubbles." I said. " But I don't have the time right now. Some other time please?"

" You know I can't simply do that." He laughed.

" I asked nicely." I readied a small knock back spell and looked at Derek. " This'll only take a sec." I said. He looked terrified. This is why I didn't want to make friends, for all  know Eric knew his name because he was hanging around with me. And they were going to use him for answers.

I walked to him as he lied on the ground, quickly getting up as I got closer. I got another one ready, this time with a little paralysis added to it. He threw something at me but missed, so I didn't know what the hell he was creating to stop me.

I got close enough to put my hand on his heart. It worked a lot better when I put paralysis on the heart, it lasted longer and was effective. I pushed it through, he froze and fell to the floor. I grabbed his white shirt collar.

" Tell you're friends, if they come after me one more time. I will end them. Permanently this time, I'll leave with with a warning. You get me? Got me." I let go.

I walked back to Derek. He looked a little worried, but not to worried. He seemed more chill. " I didn't kill him." I said, I smiled, which made it look like I was kidding but I wasn't. He sighed.

" Figured."

" I'm sure that's what you're face expression said." I joked.

" What happens to all this damage? I mean, he tore this place up trying to kill us." Out of all things hes worried about that. I sighed, of annoyance.

" He'll clean it up. He did last time." It still bothered me that out of me almost going on a bloody battle that's what he was worried. He must have not been allowed to attack me hard, figures. I haven't seen him until a few months ago after our horrific battle. He probably got in trouble.

What if he's with the Smoke group? How long has it been?

My mind raced with things I really shouldn't have been thinking about.

" Emma? Emma? Emma! Snap out of it!" I saw Derek shaking me by my shoulders, telling me to stop getting lost in my thoughts

" What? Oh, um, sorry. Lost in thoughts. So should we go back ho-" I said home " To you're house?" I corrected myself. To late you dumb ass he already heard.

" You're staying there again. I don't want them getting you on the cliff."

" I'm nearly positive they would've already taken me because my main area is up there. I think Eric's part of Smoke though. . ." There was a long silence between us.

" I should go." I said. I turned around.

" Are you sure he's part of it?"

" Most people after me are part of it probably. And I haven't seen him in a couple months, so my covers been blown." I confessed. He put his right hand on my shoulder, stopping me in my tracks.

" One more night. just one, if you still think that he is, I won't blame you. But you could always count me wrong." I wanted to be wrong, but the more I thought about it the more I thought he was part of smoke. Derek wasn't part of smoke, he wasn't fit for it. Hell, he didn't even know what he was. But he did have magnificent eyes, which could lead to not many types of super natural.

I just did the obvious. " Fine, Just one." I turned towards him, he let his hand fall as I walked passed him towards his house direction. He soon followed.

I didn't see the point, I had my mind set. My supposedly dead mother sent me a letter. Not saying where she was, just telling me to run.

I thought about mom, and all the good memories I had with her. I only had a few bad ones. But I never blamed her when she accidentally slapped me when I was nine, It was out of anger, not at me. But sperm downer. He was going off on her about something stupid like normal. It was the longest argument they ever had. I asked if she was okay smack right across the face.

I wasn't even mad at her. I was mad at my sperm downer.

I slept on the bed again, he insisted. This time he slept on the other side of the bed next to me, guess the couch was that bad.  Before I knew it, I drifted to sleep.

Waking up in a different bed, different room, different building.
