**** Emma's P.O.V****
Derek sat on the bed rubbing his face and back of him neck. I was still in my own world listening to what they were talking about. Good thing his mom didn't figure out I have amazing hearing.
So Derek loved me, go figure. I didn't know what to feel at that moment. Loved? Cared for? Lucky? I think I felt lucky. Knowing someone like Derek liked me, loved me. I felt loved by my mother but I didn't think much of it.
I looked at the door when I didn't see his mom walk in. A little surprised. But Derek did kinda tell her off. And he was probably hoping she would leave if he just left her out there. I still couldn't believe she told him I loved him. What a bitch.
" What'ca thinking about?" He asked. Holding his head in his hands. Did he know I heard him? Or was he actually asking me?
" Nothing much. So how did it go?" I asked. Heart pounding for reasons I didn't know.
" Shit." He laughed a bit.
" What shit?" Aaron rubbed his eyes sitting up. How long was he awake?
" Good morning." I said laughing. " You took a whole two hour nap." I smiled.
" Really? Well uh," He rubbed his eye like he had an eyelash fall in it. " We still have time to go to the Eiffel tower if you wanna check it out."
" I thought we were going to see it tomorrow." I said a bit confused.
" Right," He fell back to the bed. Back of his head hitting the pillows. " What should we do until then?"
" Explore the area I think. Bro, you have some pizza to eat. I cooked it up a little bit ago." Derek said smiling.
" After eating I'm gonna head out. Anyone care to join me?" He sat up and grabbed a slice of pizza and took a big bite out of it.
I raised my hand a little. " Sure." I let it fall back down.
Soon after he ate his pizza we walked out the door. Derek's mom was gone. Card for our hotel room in our pockets. We walked out of the hotel door, still on the property. " Where too? Left or right?" He laughed.
" Left." We turned left and say building side by side with some alleys in the middle. Walking through the large crowd of people. Hearing people talk a different language I didn't know anything about. I think Aaron knew what they were saying though. Signs were on roofs of the big buildings saying things I couldn't figure out.
" What did I miss in my slumber?" He chuckled. I didn't wanna say to much about Derek's mom. So I just mentioned what Derek asked me about the dance.
" Not much. Derek asked me to a dance though. If that interests you." I smiled. He was exited. A grin grew on his face and he jumped up in the air bringing his arm down in a "Yes!" Way. Did he already know? Or was he just acting.
" Man, that's awesome! Decide what you're gonna wear?" He brought his face closer to mine at an angle as we walked. I shook my head. I could use magic to think of something. But Aaron was here after all. I didn't think that was a option anymore.
" Wanna get some cloths? You outta wear something dazzling for this anyways. It's Derek after all." He pulled away smiling. He reminded me of an old friend of mine.
" I mean, I guess. And what the hell is that supposed to mean? A-And Who cares if it's Derek." I blushed looking away.
" So you do like him?" He said putting his index finger and thumb around his chin. I looked farther away.
" A bit." I lied.
" Alright it's settled. Let's see," He looked around town reading signs. " That one. It's a shop for prom and stuff and I'm sure we'll find something there!" He grabbed my hand and ran across the street without looking. Good thing there were no cars around to hit us.
