**** Emma's P.O.V***
I didn't want Derek to see me like this. Not again.
" Just go," I pleaded, Trying to cover my face from him seeing me cry. I couldn't do it, I don't want to look, and I never wanted to.
He walked over to me, his chest on my back and his hands on mine, he tried to pull my fingers away one by one but I wouldn't budge.
" You have to check to make sure it's okay right? Just let me take a look, or you can do it yourself. But you at least have to make sure it's alright." By now I was sure it was just a scar. Maybe it didn't look as bad. I released my hands away from my face slowly, Derek let go of my hands.
I looked at myself in the mirror. Wiping tears away, Derek hovered over me.
" No, I- I don't wanna look! Not again!" I shook my head and closed my eyes and shut them tight.
" Please," Derek said, he put his hands on my shoulders, he turned me to face him. " Want me too look? I am not leaving this bathroom until me or you check it." He smiled. Should I let him? I couldn't do it, but he could.
He faced me to the mirror, I closed my eyes as he brought his hand closer to my eye, pealing the eye patch off. I didn't open my eyes, I just replayed the scene where my dad threw to bottle at me. Probably crying more.
" Whoa," I heard from Derek quietly. I quickly put my hand over my eye. Crying more, " It's really not that bad. You just have to-"
" I'm not looking." I declared.
" Why? Just open you're eyes and look in the mirror." I put my head down, refusing.
" Just," Derek grabbed my wrist slowly, pulling it away. " Look." He wrapped his arms over mine and put them around my stomach. I slowly opened my eyes to see the deep scar across my eye. I winced.
" It's not that bad, it shows you're pretty hazel eye, And you would look a lot better if you would smile." My heart pounded more.
" You never answered my question. What happened to it?" He looked at me from the mirror reflection.
" My dad, before I ran away, threw a beer bottle at me. He missed, kinda. One of the broken pieces bounced off the wall and got me. Bastard." Derek squeezed my hands out of anger.
" If only we haven't left yet, I would love to kick his ass for hurting you. And you're mom. You don't deserve treatment like that. No one does." He faced me towards him, hugging me. My face in his chest.
" You should keep it off." He ran his fingers through my hair. " You can see both pretty eyes." I wrapped my arms around his neck, I was comfortable right here, Right now. We were just hugging and he was warm, really warm. I almost wanted to kiss him.
We heard a knock at the door. Jumping away from each other and leaving the embrace.
Shit. There was a boy and girl in here, I knew what they were thinking. I grabbed my eye patch and slipped it on, and walked out with Derek.
