Fourty

**** Emma's P.O.V****

We admired the Eiffel tower for a few more minutes then went to the hotel. Derek wanted to stop at a cloth store to get bathing suites. I didn't know why though, I didn't think there was a pool at the hotel, was there? I grabbed a simple two piece black bathing suit. I didn't want anything fancy. They guys grabbed some swim shorts. Derek finally mentioned him thinking there was a pool room some where. This wasn't the best time to swim, but oh well. I haven't swam in a while.

When we got to the hotel he asked the lady at the desk if there was a pool room and she said there was one all the way at the end of the hall. You'd think it wouldn't be there.

We acted like kids and raced down there, not caring who saw us or who yelled at us. Aaron won and opened the door first with his card.

" Winner!" He said as he ran to the bathroom holding his bag. Me and Derek smiled, out of breath. I went into the girls bathroom sticking my tong out at him teasing him that he would have to wait on Aaron.

When I changed, I put a protection spell on my eye patch so it wouldn't get wet. and came out the guys were already getting ready to jump in the pool. There cloths next to the chairs near the bathroom, I threw mine over there some where not caring where, Derek wearing his blue trunks and Aaron wearing his white. No shirts which I didn't really care for. Though Derek did have a nice body to show off.

It had a nice brick floor around the rectangular pool. It had ladders in each corner. A couple chairs to dry off on, and next to the bathroom were towels that haven't been used yet. I ran over to them, but slipping into the pool falling on the slippery floor. When I managed to get myself back up for air, not having any when I fell in, I saw the guys laughing there asses off. I laughed at my clumsiness.

They jumped in near me, slashing everywhere around me and water getting in my eyes. It stung a little bit I ignored it. 

" You guys are such ass holes." I smiled.

" But were you're ass holes!" Derek said dunking me in the water. Keeping me there for at least five seconds. Then I felt his hands leave the back of my head and I came back up for air, splashing him. Aaron tackled him from behind dunking him underwater. Putting all his weight on Derek then falling off. I laughed when Derek came back up for air saying:

" He tried to kill me!" Laughing.

" I wasn't trying to. Just a little payback from Emma." I laughed.

" Thanks." I giggled.

" Alright alright. Can't touch the girl. But I can still beat the shit out of you!" Derek and Aaron were rough housing for a while. I managed to slip over to the ladders and sit on them. Watching them do what ever they were doing. Kicking my feet in the water seeing my reflection ripple in the water as they continued splashing. Thinking about my Mom and Smoke. Remembering good times me and my mother shared and when smoke might figure out were long gone.

" Truce!" One of them said out of breath. 

" Alright wimp." Derek swam over to me, not even realizing it until a few seconds. " Emma! Earth to Emma!" He splashed me, getting me into reality.

" Sup?" I asked.

" Don't make me," He grabbed my ankles that were still in the water. " Pull you in." I smiled.

" Don't!" I laughed, he started pulling me in more. And soon he grabbed my hands and pulled me in quickly. He wrapped my hands around his neck as we were under water together. Bringing my body closer to his. Not the best place considering the fact we can't breath. Then he brought us back up.

" We have a code red hit man! We have a code red! Hit man get over here! Red alert! Red alert!" He said to Aaron as if I were drowning.

" On my way Jack ass!" Aaron swam from one end of the pool to us, I couldn't help but laugh at the fact.

" What seems to be the problem?" Aaron asked, code name Hit man.

" Boredom alert." Derek laughed.

" Shit! She's perfect Ammo lets do this!" Derek held me like a princess as he stepped out of the pool.

" What in the hell are you-" He went to the deep side with Aaron next to him. " Oh my fucking god Derek if you throw me in I will-" He threw me in. I managed to catch my breath this time. I pushed myself up.

" Why am I always the one getting picked on?" I laughed. I grabbed Derek's ankles and made him fall to the floor and then dragging him into the pool. I was laughing at the fact I managed to get him in. Aaron dived in saying:

" I'll save you Jack ass!" And swimming to Derek. Those two were rough housing once again. I went under water to grab one of there legs, not knowing who's I grabbed. And tugged. I came up after they froze.

" Emma don't to that I was scared for a couple seconds." Derek laughed.

" It could get worse. If you throw me in again." I snickered.

I sat on the ladder once again, thinking about my mom and where she could be, nothing came to mind. If that seeker came to me with the note and the note did have a date on it that was only a week or two ago. She had to be alive. Though I didn't know how she could be. Maybe she used a spell and made a fake body.

I was sort of growing angry at her. She didn't say anything until now that she was alive. And why didn't she take me in? Could she? Probably, not hard to  take care of a girl that doesn't need food and doesn't need much water.

Derek swam to me, It took a bit for me to realize he was there and pay attention to him.

" What are you thinking about?" He asked seriously. I looked at him. " Hey what the hell you crying for? Come on," I was crying? I felt my face, but that didn't do much good since my hand was wet. I didn't even realize it. He grabbed my hand and pulled it into the water, I pulled it back.

" I'm gonna dry off," I said, getting up and grabbing a towel. Derek followed grabbing a towel. I picked a lawn chair next to a window that showed the parking lot or the hotel. Derek got one next to me.  Aaron was walking to the bathroom. Away from me.

" Whats with you?" He asked.

" Thinking about stuff." I used the towel to wipe my face off.

" Don't," He said. " I know what you're thinking." He started drying himself off. " You're mom and Smoke?" I nodded.

" We can go back if you want. To look for you're mom." My heart pumped fast. Not knowing what to answer.

" Even if we did, I wouldn't know where she could be. She's been "Dead." For about ten years, I think I would've found her by now." I buried my face in my knees. Wrapping my arms around my bent legs.

" Don't sit like that, makes you look depressed." He walked over to me and broke my arms from there grip. Made my legs relax on the lawn chair, my arms wrapped around my stomach, and knelled next to the chair.

" But I am depressed," I said looking away. " I wanna see her again." I cried, wiping tears away. " Tell her how much I loved her, how much fun I had, tell her I want her to stay." Derek held my hand and rubbed my shoulder comforting me.
