**** Derek's P.O.V****
She squeezed my hand more and more as she said things she wanted to tell her mom. It was sad, seeing her like this, broken, depressed. She missed her mom, I didn't care so much for my parents though. Dad and I grew farther apart as I got older. And mom took over.
She wrapped her arms around me, crying on my shoulder. I rubbed her back, " It's okay," I repeated. I didn't mind if she needed to cry on my shoulder.
" I wanna see her again! I want to see her smile again! I want to be with her again!" She cried. I rubbed the back of her head, soon she was just crying. She got out of the chair and I stood up. Standing like that, she pulled away from me, letting her arms fall on mine.
" You okay?" I asked. " It's alright. We'll find her some day." I reminded her.
Aaron came out of the bathroom he stood there watching us and smiling. I was trying not to tell him to leave. So, I hugged Emma letting her face the opposite direction. I gave Aaron the hand signal to shoo, and he left the pool room silently. Soon letting her go again, perfect distraction.
" I think so." She sucked her lips in. " Thanks. For everything. Trying to make me happy and all." She smiled. I smiled back.
" Doing my best." I admitted. " So, ready for the dance?"
" Lets head out, Aaron is probably waiting on us upstairs." She ignored my question, oh well, didn't matter anyways.
" Wait, how is you're eye patch dry?" I asked. I didn't pay much attention until I noticed it wasn't damp.
" Spell I put, you cant make things non-absorbent as long as there small." She said. " You can do water breathing too." She walked away smiling. She went in the bathroom to change and so did I, I also grabbed Aaron's cloths.
When we reached the room, we heard Aaron asking for his cloths. I tossed them in the bathroom where he was, laughing.
The rest of the night was quiet, until Emma said she was getting tired.
" Where am I sleeping? With one you guys?" She asked with her eyebrows raised.
" I don't care." Aaron said, I shrugged.
" That or couch." I said.
" Well how about one of you sleeps on the couch. And I get to steal you're bed? Sounds good to me." She giggled.
" I'm gonna go with a no," I said. " Ya sleeping with you'res truly? Or the one and only Aaron." I joked.
" I am amazing with cuddles. Especially with puppies." He said trying to win, I didn't say anything cause I really didn't care.
" Derek." She lied next to me on the bed. Getting under the covers. I pat her head saying ' Goodnight. Don't let the cuddles bite.' And saw her smile.
Sooner or later I fell asleep. Falling asleep next to Emma without it being awkward. Aaron probably fell asleep a lot later thanks to his hour or two nap.
I remembered my dream, Aaron gone, no where to be found. Silver was on the floor with blood, blue blood, coming from him everywhere. And Emma was sitting on the couch looking at Silver body, she could finally see him. But for a first reaction, fear.
" W-Why is there so much blood on him?" She cried. " Is he dead?"
I ran over to Silver, jumping out of bed. Then I remembered this was a small dragon not a human. Where in the hell is the heart?
I felt around, feeling cold, blue blood on my hands. Feeling around for something that said he was alive. I couldn't feel, anything.
I went over to Emma and keeled down next to her. " Do you know what happened?" I said wiping my bloody hands on my sweat pants. Using my arm to wipe away some tears.
" No!" She Shook her head crying a little.
" Where's Aaron?" I asked. She looked at me, and then behind me as if something, or someone was there. Her eyes grew wide.
There was a gunshot from behind me, the blood spattered on my face, Emma falling in front of me.
