One of the doctors in bloody scrubs looked over at him as he ate an enormous fatty looking sandwich. " Who ? Who's your daughter? "
Zipp swallowed deeply as Ethan came behind him. " Diamond. My daughter is Diamond Marie Dennis. She is thirteen and she loves Disney Princesses and pink and chocolate and flowers. I want to see her. I need my daughter. Please."
Ethan put his hands on the shorter man's tense shoulders and began to massage them. " Zipp. I think we should go. They're probably busy....."
Zipp pulled away from him. " I don't care how busy they are! I want to see my daughter. Where is Diamond? "
The doctor sighed. " Dennis? Yeah. We got her. They are doing the autopsy now on her. You her father? Sorry. "
Zipp buckled slightly and would have fallen had Ethan not been there to grab hold of him.
" No ," he cried as he turned into Ethan's supportive arms. " No. They can't cut into my Diamond. She doesn't like pain. She hates blood. Diamond..... Diamond....... Why ......"
Ethan held him up as he led the man back out of the morgue. " It's going to be okay. Let's go get you some food. Okay? "
