ODDS OF LOVE SEASON TWELVE

Episode 96

" What is that creature? ," Spencer said with alarm as he and Winston stood outside his house staring at his next door neighbor LuLu Simms. LuLu was standing on the sidewalk with the triplets Sapphire, Ruby and Pearl in their stroller as well as a potbellied pig with a rhinestone collar and on a golden leash.

LuLu smirked at him, saying," It's a pig , braniac. I thought you were supposed to be so smart. His name is Porky. That was my favorite cartoon growing up. " She cast an eye on Winston who looked back at her with distaste. " Whose this, Wheels ? You ditch the Black one or is he your own new pet ? He's kinda cute. What they call you, sexy ? "

Winston pulled out a single embossed card from his pants pocket and showed it to her. It said " My name is Winston Arnett. I am a mute man but can hear. Do not treat me like an idiot ".  She read the card and laughed harshly.

Spencer pursed his lips and rolled in front of his brother almost protectively. " He's my brother. I know the county can't allow you to have a pig here. "

LuLu snorted ," I thought your only brother was the shyster lawyer with the stick up his ass. The one lucky enough to have forgotten you. And Porky is legal in the state. He's very smart and affectionate. "

Spencer said casually," Oh , so not like you then ? And , Richard is not a shyster although he does occasionally have , as you say, a stick up his ass. "

Winston felt his lips twitching with amusement.

LuLu widened her eyes at Winston and then back at Spencer just as the babies began to scream shrilly. " Wait. I remember you. You're the lawyer that got disbarred for kidnapping a kid or something. The one that got supposedly raped. What a fucked up family you have, Wheels. And to think they let you have my son. "

Winston paled and moved away to his car until Spencer's hand shot out to pull him back. " He didn't kidnap a child," Spencer stated through clenched teeth. " It was a misunderstanding with my niece and brother. Winston has made amends for his past actions. You should realize people made mistakes in the past. After all ,  in Alabama you were in jail for assaulting your first husband and the father of your children. "

LuLu just laughed sharply.

Then suddenly a beat up old car that resembled an ancient Ford  Pinto came to a noisy stop in front of LuLu's house. As it stopped the car backfired with a loud burst of black smoke from the back. They all looked at the car. LuLu began to cuss which made Spencer say ," That language is quite inappropriate around defenseless children. "

The driver side door opened rapidly and out popped a short stocky older White man in a big baggy colorful button down shirt and worn green shorts. He bore a strong resemblance to LuLu herself.

The man opened his flabby arms as he belched twice and called out," LuLu Mae ! Come give ya old Daddy a kiss and hug, gal ! Which one of these men is your Jonah ? Fellows , my name is  Bubba Joe Benson. How's its hanging, boys ! "

Spencer and Winston looked at each other wordlessly as LuLu flushed red , the babies screamed on , the pig snorted and the new arrival farted loudly.
