Faith was sitting on a bronze trimmed bench on the campus of her college studying from her sociology book that she had thankfully been able to buy and download directly to her phone. This class was going to be the death of her this semester. Three chapters a night. That damn paper she should probably start researching for now even though it was due around midterms. The daily quiz which was usually five questions and a page long essay. That ridiculous group project with Kit and Justin; Kit had set up some group message chat room through LifeChapters just for the three of them. It was called " Sociology Rocks ! " of all things. The young woman messaged constantly in the group. Constantly. All day long. Although yesterday all of them had been focused oddly enough on Miracle's kidnapping. The young gender neutral woman had been very concerned about the baby and Spencer. Very strange since they had made a big production in class when the topic was about marriage and family development  saying they hated the concept of marriage and disliked children. Then again Faith usually found Kit very strange. Half of the class was secretly taking bets on how long before they crashed and burned on their wild ass high achieving schedule. Faith had twenty bucks on sophomore year first semester at eight AM while waiting for coffee in  the long ass line. Rumor had many had cracked mentally in that line.

And then there was Ada herself who never failed but to focus the discussion on Faith at least once in class. The woman seemed to take such pleasure in putting her on the spot. Like a bug squirming under a microscope. It was odd. Ada was so annoying but her wife who taught journalism 101 was actually pretty nice and supportive of students. Especially new nontraditional students. The class was interesting too. Faith had always thought reporters were just nuisances but now she was feeling like they were more nuisances with a purpose.

Then her phone rang thankfully. It gave her the welcome chance to stop reading big complicated theories and words long enough to listen to her fiancee's sweet soothing voice.

Joy almost screeched in her ear on the phone," Faith , don't forget your appointment tomorrow. Winston has sent me fifteen emails and ten texts about it. If he could talk he probably would have called too. "

So much for sweet and soothing. Well she was usually sweet and soothing. " He emailed me twenty times and texted fifteen. So I beat you, Joyful. And I haven't forgotten. I'm glad he can't talk right now. "

" And , call Devin later. He's having hissy fits. That's exactly what he is having. Hissy fits. He wants to know if we picked our dresses yet and the colors and everything. I said I have but you haven't yet. So now he wants to talk to you and hurry you up about it. And he's just a little worried about exactly how pregnant you will look at our wedding. He doesn't think you should wear white. He mentioned something about looking like a big old cloud floating around. "

Faith's lips twitched with amusement. " I was thinking about wearing a simple black cocktail dress. "

That provoked the reaction she wanted as she sat back on the bench and heard Joy say with alarm," You can't wear black! Devin will kill us both! "

Faith finally lost it. She burst into a bout of hysterical giggles just as Kit Keller popped up behind the bench with a tall can of Zam in their hand and a perky look on their face.

Kit said too enthusiastically," Faith , what a surprise ! I love studying outside too ! We can study together ! "

Joy said  in a slightly calmer but now confused voice ," Who on earth is that, sweetheart? She sounds deranged. "
