(Season 2) Chapter 12: Second Match, new friends and new rivals!

Daniel stands with Yune at the JHS gym with their team, everyone on the team is already good friends with each other. The coach walks in and talks about their new formations, new strategies and who they will face in the near future.

"Okay, everyone, we have new opponents we will face down, I will give more info on them later but we will revise our formation."

"Daniel and Yune were a far more effective combination than I gave them credit for. I want you two to work with Amy and create a triangle formation that will be the core of our offense. I want Jayson and David to be our main passing routes to this triangle, as well as Rachel, but you are only to be the passing route if Jayson and David are unable to. Everyone else will remain in their current positions."

"Understood."

Everyone continues their training, Amy starts to get accustomed to Yune and Daniel's movement patterns to better synergize with them to make the triangle formation more effective. In the end, everyone ends up stronger than before, and they will need it for what they would end up facing.

As the lunar crescents face down their enemy team, known as the velvet thunder, they set up their formation and revise a few strategies, and a kick-off to the lunar crescents initiates the game.

Amy, Yune, and Daniel all begin to advance forward while Jayson and David move forward with them. But the defense measures against Daniel and Yune prove very effective, with Yune out of the question, Daniel pushes forward himself.

While Daniel tries to force his way through the defense, Yune was being locked down by one singular girl, whose name was Nicolae.

"Wow, my data was spot on!"

"What are you talking about?"

"When you're isolated and you don't have your precious boyfriend here to help you, you're useless!"

Nicolae's harsh but truthful words irritated her, and she continued to try and get back to Daniel.

Meanwhile Daniel takes a shot which gets blocked by a defensive midfielder, by this point, no one realizes it but their center-forward starts to quickly advance on the field.

"Wait! A counter!"

The forward picks up the ball, as Daniel bolts toward them to stop them from advancing, they just run. Daniel expects to catch up, but this forward is absurdly fast, Daniel can't keep up in the slightest. The forward easily makes their way through all of the lunar crescents defenses and scores the first goal.

"Jesus Christ, how fast is he?"

"He's like a damn panther."

Yune stays silent, looking at Nicolae with murderous intent, she simply looks back with a smug look on her face.

Now with more info on how they will play, Yune is left alone to fend off Nicolae while Amy and Daniel advance on the field. While those two advance on the field, Yune decides to try and have a chat with Nicolae.

"What's your name, exactly?"

"Nicolae, you're Yune, correct?"

"Yep, tell me, what makes you think you can beat me?"

"Let me put it in words you'll understand, I'm you, but BETTER."

Nicolae was just a superior version of Yune, better jumping, vision, strength, speed, trapping, passing, first touches, and everything Yune can do, but better. Yune starts to become annoyed, she realizes that Nicolae is right, she relies far too much on Daniel when it comes to soccer, she wants to prove that she can put up a good fight without the help of Daniel.
