Chapter 6: Halloween! Trickery and treats!

Daniel asked Yune a few weeks ago if she wanted to go trick or treating, and since Yune accepted, both looked forward to this day since the performance task, today is the day - October 31.

"Honey! Are you gonna go trick or treating with that friend of yours?" Daniel's Mother asked.

"Yes Mom!" Daniel replied, putting on his costume and getting his props.

"I'll go with you this time, I still haven't met this friend of yours." Daniel's Mother declared, clearly curious to meet with Yune since he heard a lot of things about her from Daniel.

As Daniel gets dressed in this prince royalty costume that they had bought a few days before halloween, Yune is getting dressed as well.

"Sis, are you ready?" Yune asks, trying out the costume.

"Nearly! I just need to put on this mask, what about you?" Yuna replied, as she was getting dressed to be Jason Voorhees for halloween. 

"I need to apply this makeup that came with the costume then I'm ready!" Yune answered, putting on some eyeliner and blush.

Yuna, wanting to prank her sister, turned off the lights in her bedroom. Yune was confused, as she could hear someone walking up behind her in the dark, she started to feel anxious, then Yuna surprised Yune, wearing the mask and carrying a fake chainsaw.

Yune quite literally yelped in fear, hopping onto her bed in shock.

Yuna laughs loudly at Yune's reaction, "Happy Halloween!" She says, before going the door and leaves as she is meeting up with other friends.

Daniel is readily waiting outside Yune's door with his mother, and that's when both Yune and her mother walk out the door.

Yune and Daniel share a friendly embrace as Daniel realizes what Yune is wearing.

"How hilarious! You're dressed up as a princess!"

Daniel, deciding to play around jokingly, holds out his hand to Yune and says: "Let us go, my beloved."

As both mothers laugh at the joke and they turn to get going. But when neither are looking, Yune clings to Daniels arm, deciding to play along, she says: "My love, protect me from all the dangers that lurk during the night."

"I will, I give you my solemn oath, my beloved." Daniel replied, enjoying the little roleplay they have going.

The roleplay of a prince protecting a princess was fun to the 2 kids, as the 2 mothers watched as they played around while walking from house to house, collecting candy.

"You mess around with people like this, Yune?"

"Yeah, it's funny to see someone embarrassed, and you look cute when you are!"

Daniel felt flustered at Yune's sly compliment, but even then, Daniel had an amazing time playing around on the night of halloween with Yune. They got their fair share of candy, but surprisingly, Daniel is approached on the street, it was by Xavier who was dressed in a character from a popular anime.

"Xavier? What are you doing here?"

"You didn't hear? Everyone in our class was invited by our class president for a Halloween party at their house."

Daniel and Yune were taken aback by this, they share a glance and decide to actually go to the party. So their mothers actually go home and take their candy with them.

On their way to the party, Xavier asks Yune to leave him and Daniel alone for a bit, she obliges and skips on ahead. With their time alone, Xavier apologizes to Daniel for how he treated him up until this point.

"Hey, I'm really sorry for how I treated you back then." Xavier says, starting the conversation and a change that seems more permanent.

"Huh, thanks Xavier, I'm sorry for what I said." Daniel replies, also apologetic.

"No, don't be, you were completely right," Xavier concedes, a bit defeated, but accepting. "I was delusional, and that affected everyone in our class negatively."

Xavier felt lonely after the incident, so Daniel decides to take him in as a friend.

"Huh? You wanna be my friend? Even after what I've done?" Xavier asks, surprised and confused.

"Yeah, I mean, you aren't really a bad person, you were just taken under bad influence." Daniel replies, clearly not minding their history since Xavier seems to be a better person now.

Xavier smiles, thanking Daniel for his forgiveness, and they speed up ahead to catch back up to Yune, they arrive at the party and the class president invites them inside.

Inside, they party hard, music was blaring, everyone was doing incredible moves and bonded as a class, around 10 P.M. however, Daniel and Yune leave and go back home. As they walk back home, Yune asks Daniel what Xavier talked to him about.

Daniel explains everything, and Yune felt relieved, saying that Xavier seems to be becoming a good person now. They walk home and arrive back in their respective homes, and without much homework or school to worry about for the time being, they indulge themselves in their Halloween candy.
