A week after the incident with Xavier, Daniel walks to school with Yune again.

The fact that Xavier had a crush on Yune hadn't crossed their minds since a few days after the incident. They arrive at their classroom and the teacher gives out a performance task/project.

"This quarter, you will be practicing a prom dance known as the waltz," The Physical Education teacher announced. "You may practice this at home with your partner, and if time allows it, you may practice in the dance room. Here are extra instructions, be aware that some are optional, while others are mandatory. If you fail to comply with the mandatory instructions and requirements, you will get 0 on this project."

The instructions read that boys must be dressed in a suit and tie, a blazer is ideal. The girls and instructed to wear a dress and heels, they also said that jewelry is allowed, but not required.

As Daniel reads the instructions that were written on the chalkboard, Xavier asks a question.

"Sir Fernandez, will we be assigned partners or will we pick our own?"

The teacher - Mr. Fernandez - responds that he will spin a wheel, and either boys will go around picking a girl to be their partner, or vice versa.

As the teacher spun the wheel, the result ended up that girls would pick their partner. As the girls went around, picking either people they knew or just picking randomly. Yune had her sights set on having Daniel as her partner, not only would it be easy to meet up, it would be quite romantic, even if this was just a performance task.

Fortunately, no one picked Daniel and right as Yune was chosen to pick, she immediately picked Daniel without so much as thinking. The class teases her about her pick, saying that it was all because she had a crush. But Yune didn't deny it, she is willing to admit it after all.

Xavier is chosen by a girl named Rosalina Hope, and everyone is paired up for the dance, so the teacher dismisses class and the pairs go off to practice, while Yune and Daniel were alone, practicing the dance in the dancing room, she notes that Daniel is surprisingly good at this dance already and questions if it's his first time.

"I practiced it for a grade 5 prom but my date ended up sick, so technically, I knew the dance, but I have never performed it legitimately." Daniel replies, before asking something, "Are you okay?"

"I'm holding up perfectly fine!" Yune replies, feigning confidence and relaxation.

"Are you now? You're so tensed up you might crush my hand with your pressure." Daniel replies, with a concerned smile.

Yune realizes what she is doing and loosened her hand to relieve the tension and they keep practicing. Eventually, they cut their practice short to go eat lunch, and Daniel decides to ask her an important but also unimportant question:

"Hey, wanna go trick or treating with me after the project?" Daniel asks Yune.

"You still go trick or treating?" Yune asks, slightly surprised.

"I get it, I'm a kid." Daniel replies, a little defensive about it.

Yune chuckles slightly. "I wasn't really judging you for anything, I still do as well."

Yune agrees to go trick or treating with Daniel since it would be fun to walk around with Daniel and look at the houses with spooky decorations. After lunch, they decided to stop practicing for a bit and decided to relax, playing against each other in connect 4 until class started for the afternoon and ended in general for the day.

Rather than Daniel staying at home, he goes over to Yune's apartment to keep practicing, however, the door isn't answered by Yune, rather, by her mother, Yune's mother is quite happy to see him as she has heard stories that Yune shared about his constant heroics to her. After a bit of storytelling, and a small conversation, Yune takes Daniel to go to her fairly empty bedroom and practice there.

This cycle would repeat not identically to this day with the presence of classes lowering their practice time, but this didn't stop Daniel and Yune from practicing as much as they could, until October 29 finally came.

All the boys went to the changing room as did the girls, the girls after returning to the dance room where they would be performing were complementing each other's jewelry, hairstyles, dresses, etc. And the boys complemented each other's outfits, but only 1 pair stood out, that pair of course being Yune and Daniel, while Yune was dressed in a beautiful blue dress with blue short heels and her sapphire jewelry along with her hair tied up so that it would be an easier peformance, her style had an extra in the form of makeup, something the others girls forgot to consider, simple blush and eyeliner were enough to tie together the whole look. Meanwhile Daniel was dressed in a full suit, equipped with a red rose on the front pocket of the blazer and nicely combed hair. Before anyone managed to comment on the outstanding looks of these 2, the teacher walked into the room and told everyone to sit on the chairs lined up on the walls of the classroom. As everyone sits down, he tells everyone how the order of who goes is determined.

"As you can see on the board, there are papers with numbers on them, the boy of each pairing will go and retrieve only 1 number and quickly sit back down. Boys, go."

As the boys line up to retrieve their number, Daniel starts to get nervous about dancing with Yune in front of the whole class. He felt as if he would mess up due to anxiety or a simple error in his footwork, he wanted to be perfect in his dance with Yune. As everyone gets their number and sits back down, the teacher grabs a box and pulls lots, as it would turn out, Daniel and Yune were first. Everyone cheered for them and urged them to go, but Daniel felt nervous, but Yune places her hand on his shoulder, giving a reassuring squeeze.

"It's okay, everything will be fine, we practiced more than anyone! We can do this, trust me."

"...You're right, yeah, we can do this!"

The two position themselves in the middle of the room and the teacher lets a small smile slip and signals the two to begin dancing.

Daniel & Yune move in perfect sync, the dance they had done was the more complicated version, they had executed the most complicated dance to pure perfection. Everyone was captivated and amazed at how amazing this pair's dancing is and the complicated footwork they employed into it. They made the complicated version even more complicated than it was intended, even the teacher found it incredible. The fact that they would increase the risk of them messing up to the near maximum in exchange for a potential chance for more points was a clear sign that neither of the two are afraid of risks and it captures the teachers heart.

After their dance, the class applauded furiously, even a few students from outside the class were absolutely stunned at this sight, these two seemed like a match made in Heaven. The rest of the class would take their turns and some would do well, some wouldn't, but everyone had a good laugh. In the end, the only ones that didn't follow the instructions word for word were Daniel and Yune, but it wasn't in a bad way, so they weren't punished or put through disciplinary action. As they went home, Daniel held his hand in a tight grip with Yune's as they gleefully walked back home. He occasionally stole glances at Yune discreetly, and started to think to himself that he might ask Yune one day, but it could wait.
