On the other side (when Shivi was frozen and Abhi was trying to manipulate Rudra)
Author's POV:
Shelly stood on the empty road, hugging herself. It wasn't cold, but every breeze that touched her skin made her shiver. She kept glancing left and right, desperately waiting for Abhi to come to her rescue.
An hour had passed, and there was still no sign of Abhi. She sighed as she looked at her car, which had broken down on this silent, dark road.
"You weren't supposed to take that seriously," she muttered, eyeing the car. She had planned for something like this to happen, but it was supposed to be fake. Instead, her car had actually broken down in the middle of nowhere. And thanks to her carelessness with her phone, she was down to just three percent battery.
Shelly paced back and forth, glancing down the road, hoping for Abhi-or anyone-to come to her rescue. She tried calling Abhi again, but there was no answer.
Rudra wasn't picking up either, and Akansha was at the hospital, busy with an emergency case. She looked around at the dark, desolate surroundings. It wasn't the darkness that scared her, but the eerie silence and the way every small sound seemed to amplify her anxiety.
Each rustle of leaves made her jump."Where the hell is he? Did he forget I'm waiting for him to rescue me?" she muttered in frustration. "Even my brother isn't answering my calls," she added, attempting to reach him again, but once more, there was no response.Just then, her phone beeped and the screen went black. Dead battery. "Great," she huffed, throwing her hands up in exasperation.
Her gaze swept across the unfamiliar surroundings, her eyes wide with fear. The darkness and eerie silence of the place, unknown and ominous, pressed in on her from all sides.
Not allowing fearful thoughts to enter her mind she started pacing back and forth. . .30 minutes passed . . 50 minutes passed . . One more hour passed . . Tears of frustration began to glisten in Shelly's eyes as the reality of her situation sank in-Abhi, or anyone else for that matter, was nowhere to be found. The tears spilled over, and she instinctively began to wipe them away. Since childhood, she'd always been the one to dry her own tears; it had become second nature to her.
"Am I really that insignificant? That no one even remembers me?" she whispered to herself, her voice trembling with the weight of her loneliness. The tears continued to flow, and she kept wiping them away, but they wouldn't stop.
Just then, something Akansha had said echoed in her mind: "Just because you're still holding out hope for Abhi, who is already married and deeply in love with his wife..."
'Deeply in love with his wife.....'
The words struck her like a blow, intensifying the ache in her heart.
