Abhi's POV:

"Abhi...Vo....vo....She didn't say anything further and only sobbed into my chest, her hands clutching my shirt desperately.

I held her tighter, my mind racing with questions, Something had happened. I kept rubbing her back gently trying to calm her but she kept looking back at the door fearfully as if someone will come and eat her up.

Knowing that words wouldn't be enough to soothe her, I picked her up in my arms, earning a soft gasp from her. Her tear-streaked eyes met mine-calm, steady, and filled with reassurance. As I carried her towards the bed, I felt the tremor in her frame, the silent quiver of her pain. Sitting down with her still in my lap, I felt her arms wrap tightly around my neck, her face burying itself in the crook of my neck as if she wanted to hide from the world.

"Kya hua mere bacche ko?" I asked gently, a playful lilt to my voice, hoping to ease her distress. But instead of relaxing, she clung to me even tighter, her body trembling in my hold. Her head turned slightly as she glanced at the door, her unease palpable.

My heart clenched at her silence. I cupped her tear-streaked face, tilting it upwards so she would meet my gaze. "No one's coming, love," I whispered softly, my voice steady but filled with concern. "Tell me, what's troubling my wife? What made her cry like this?"

Her lips trembled, her breathing uneven, and then, in a voice so fragile it broke something inside me, she whispered a name.

"Rudra."

The moment the word left her lips, rage coursed through me like wildfire. My entire body tensed, and the only thought in my head was to storm out of the room and confront him. My fists clenched, my mind a blur of anger and vengeance. I almost got up leaving Shivani seated

But before I could move, her trembling hand gripped mine tightly. "Abhi," she called out, her voice shaky yet desperate. She shook her head, silently begging me not to leave her. Her tear-filled eyes pleaded with me to stay, to hold her instead of chasing my fury.

My heart, which had been thundering with anger, softened instantly at her vulnerable gaze. I sat back down, my arms still around her as I focused on what she needed most-comfort and safety.

Taking a deep breath, I asked gently, "Kya hua, Shivi? Tell me everything."

She hesitated, but after a moment, she drew in a shaky breath and spoke, her voice barely above a whisper. "Rudra tried to... touch me. He tried to grab my hand. I... I froze, but before he could do anything, Shelly came looking for him. She... she interrupted before anything could happen."
