Chapter 27: Best of friends (Gom friendship)

After All-Stars Gabby and Tom remained friends and very good ones at that. The two often had contact with each other outside of disventure camp. Whenever Ellie was at work Gabby contacted Tom just to accompany herself, so to feel less lonely sometimes.

It was a very normal morning, until the loud ringing of an alarm. Gabby was trying to block her ears so that she couldn't hear the alarm that much. Ellie groaned while sitting up, ''Fuck my life''. ''Your life isn't that bad Ellie'', Gabby comforted the tired Ellie. ''I have to go work babe. Are you alright with that?'', Ellie said as she rubbed her face. ''I know sweetie and I'm alright with that, but don't overwork yourself again'', Gabby said as she sat up next to Ellie. ''Gabs I'll try not to overwork myself. I promise'', Ellie said as she embraced Gabby. ''Good'', Gabby said as she pressed a kiss on Ellie's head. ''I've got to go now or else I'm going to be late'', Ellie said as she quickly grabbed her working clothes. ''Make sure to eat well Ellie'', Gabby said as she was still sitting on the bed. ''Yes, yes Gabby. I'll just make a quick sandwich and drink something, then I'll go'', Ellie said as she quickly dressed herself in front of Gabby. ''I'm glad that you are doing that, since I have been noticing some different eating patterns in you'', Gabby said. ''You're always worried about my eating, it's alright Gabby'', Ellie said as she finished putting on her working clothes. ''You look mighty fine in those clothes~'', Gabby flirted. ''Thanks babe'', Ellie said as she pressed her lips against Gabby's lips for a soft kiss. ''I'm going now. What will you do when I'm at work?'', Ellie said. ''Maybe hang out with Tom. Good luck with your work and see you later'', Gabby said as she smiled towards Ellie. ''Thanks babe, see you later'', Ellie said as she left the room.

After Ellie left the room all that Gabby could hear was Ellie ravaging through the cabinets and then silence. Gabby didn't like to be alone, but she had to because Ellie had to work to make a living for the two. So she couldn't blame Ellie for working so much. Gabby stood up from bed and grabbed her phone from the nightstand. While she was walking to the living room she checked her phone. No new messages. That's all that was there on the phone. When she sat down on the table she found a yellow sticky-note on the table. On it was, ''Love you babe'', with multiple hearts on it. Ellie had a habit to leave sticky-notes for Gabby to feel loved and safe. It did help, Gabby loves the sticky-notes and always keeps them. Gabby immediately grabbed the sticky-note and held it close to her. She then sticked the sticky-note on one of her notebooks.

Gabby walked to the kitchen to grab some food and sat down on a chair with her phone in her hand. -Hey Tommie you free?- Gabby texted Tom. After a long time Tom finally replied, -Hey Gabs, yes I'm free. Do you want to hang out perhaps?-. -Yes of course :). What should we do?- Gabby replied. -Maybe get a donut at the coffee shop?- Tom texted back. -Sure :D-, Gabby replied. -See you around 1 PM then Gabs- Tom texted back. -Okay see you then- Gabby replied. -Wait is Ellie okay with this?- Tom texted back. -Yes, Ellie is at work and I can hang out with you anytime- Gabby replied. -Okay just wanted to know :)-, Tom texted back. -Is okay- Gabby replied. -See you later Gabs- Tom texted back. -See you later Tomster- Gabby replied as she closed her phone. Gabby was really happy to have Tom as a friend and happy that they are going to hang out today. Gabby finally decided to eat her food that she had grabbed before texting Tom. After some time Gabby finished the food and decided to get dressed since it was 1 hour away from 1 PM. Some time later Gabby was fully dressed and ready to hit the streets. After some walking Gabby spotted the tall scarred man in front of the shop looking around him.

''Tommie!! It's so good to see you'', Gabby shouted as she ran towards Tom to give him a big hug. ''It's good to see you too Gabs'', Tom said as he hugged Gabby back. ''Let's go inside!'', Gabby said. ''Yeah, I really want some donuts'', Tom said as the two entered the coffee shop. ''GABBY?!?!'', a loud but raspy voice could be heard. ''Hey Ellie'', Tom said as he waved. ''Ellie baby, you are working here today? I thought today's shift was supposed to be at Denny's'', Gabby said as she was flabbergasted. ''Oh, I didn't tell you. Sorry, but it's good seeing you once again'', Ellie said as she smiled towards Gabby. ''It's okay sweetie, no need to be sorry for'', Gabby said. ''Okay what do you guys want to order?'', Ellie asked. ''Just a coffee and a delicious sugar donut, what do you want Gabs, I'm paying'', Tom said as he nudged Gabby. ''Okay then I'll just have a tea and also one of those donuts that Tom has'', Gabby said as she deeply looked in Ellie's eyes. ''Alright~'', Ellie said in a quite flirting way as she also looked deeply into Gabby's eyes. Then Ellie left the counter to make sure their order was going to be made. Gabby and Tom sat down at a nearby table. After some time a waiter appeared and gave their order.
