Unfortunately Tony's plan of being a loving, present, and caring father didn't last long.
He quickly got far too caught up in superhero business, and once again neglected his relationship with his daughter.
So, five years, three birthday cards, and two visits later, Madeline had lost her mother to cancer, and was for a while living with her grandparents.
Though that didn't go too well; her grandfather had shipped her off to boarding school after the passing of her grandmother.
And now, after another two years, and not a word from her father, she finally finished school.
She was 17, and graduated a year early, and with nowhere left to go, Madeline used the last of her money to buy a plane ticket to New York City to see her father.
