The next day, Maddy bled. A lot.
She was now disappointed that her pregnancy had only given her one month off her period, and even then she had to make up for it with this torture.
"Anything I can do to help?" Bruce asked. He figured it was best to check on Madeline at least once a day for a while, seeing as he was the only person in the tower who knew of her situation.
"Make a really big pad so that i don't have to change every 10 minutes." She groaned.
"I wasn't thinking too big, I just bought you some ice cream. I heard cookie dough is your favourite."
"Cookie dough?" She instantly perked up, emerging from under her covers.
"Here." He handed it to her, along with a bottle of water.
"I don't need that, I have Diet Coke."
"You need water."
"You know, you're the only person in this whole tower who has that annoying tendency to overthink what my diet will do to my health."
"Drink that, or I tell Tony about you vaping in front of Morgan. I'll be back in an hour."
"Fine!" She mumbled, reluctantly opening the bottle.
The tower was pretty quiet that day; Tony, Natasha, Yelena, and Sam were on a mission. Bucky and Steve were training together. Peter was in school. Clint was visiting family. Thor was out trying to find a cat for him to have as a pet, with Wanda supervising. And Pietro was speeding around the gym, occasionally taking breaks to annoy Steve and Bucky.
Maddy sat in bed, scrolling through episodes of Rick and Morty, trying to find one she hadn't watched at some point since she woke up.
When that failed, she finally got out of bed and decided to do something productive.
First, she called Daisy, the only one who was aware of Madeline's previous situation.
"So, you're not gonna be a teen mum?"
"No, thank god. I am kinda disappointed though - now I have to wait another 10 to 15 years to use the amazing baby names I came up with." She dramatically sighed.
"Well, maybe you could share some with me when I'm pregnant."
"Not happening. I am gatekeeping these names until the day I die. Or give birth, whichever comes first."
"Alright, that's great, but I am in the middle of a shift and my managers staring at me, so I'll text you later?"
"Alright, bye love."
And then Maddy was bored again.
So she decided to try being actually productive, rather than just calling Bella or Lorenzo.
She showered, washed and blow dried her hair, put on a cute outfit and some makeup, and was finally feeling like herself again.
Then, she called Happy.
"My favourite father figure-"
"Where do I pick you up?"
"At the tower. We're going shopping!" Maddy exclaimed.
"Yippie." He replied in a dull tone, and was outside the tower within minutes.
Short chapter, sorry!! I'm trying to stick to daily updates so sometimes u might get the occasional shit chapter where nothing happens. But I do think Bruce being a father figure to Maddy is cute!!
And to the person who said they want a yelena/Maddy friendship - that's coming soon I promise!!
